  • Cheers guys thanks for the great comments :)

  • That lick at 0:33 blew me away, and you had pretty much just started.

"Wow" is the only word I know right now.

  • god damn it, i wish i could play like that :P maybe a 'little' more practice. :P

  • hey dude. which speakers do you use. can you advise any cheap one?

  • Great great playing :)

  • Hi mate already answered the question below :)

  • what pickups did you use ? and do you remember your settings ?

  • What pickups do you have in that strat? what strat is it ? And what settings did you used ?

  • hi mate in this vid its a seymour mini jb and not sure of other pickups. now it has kent armstrong hotrail and 2 cheap squire single coils :). i sold the amp so im afraid i cant give you settings. the guitar is a 90s japanese strat :)

  • DO YOU Remember your settings ? I'd love to know them !!!

  • way to go big man

  • hot rod 57 strat?

  • hi mate its a japanese strat from about 92 i love it :)

  • oh, ok nice.. i hear and read the japanese strats are of great quality, never played one, just usa and mexican made

  • Mate, Tell me your settings across the front. great tone.

  • wish i could rock that hard on my strat, not yet though.

  • Really nice improvisations man, and your tone is really great! :)

  • hey dude awesome stuff :)

i am thinking of buying this amp. I have an Ibanez JEM and am wondering what is it like for the whole instrimental style of music I want something with a nice warm tone on clean but can really wail when I shred. do you think it could give me that? I have a jemini distortion pedal also aha I tried some fender amps and they didnt agree with me.

  • hi mate i would seriously recommend the dsl 50 watt head and a 2x12 or 4x12 cab. i dont think vintage modern will really do it for you. i got rid of mine. worth trying a jvm too again i would recommend a head and cab over a combo. I always find you cant get enough bass out of a combo :)

  • Have you sold it yet and if not how much is it going for?

  • sorry man i sold it

  • was it loud??? nice playing and tone anyway....

  • just above sensible bedroom volume :)

  • Just wow man. That was amazing. I just cant improvise like that, it never flows that well or has that much range of the neck. Keep 'em comming

  • cheers mate its just practice :)

  • i have a Fender Telecaster+i wanna buy either a Fender or a Marshall amp...

can u please tell me the differences, between them...??

  • first i would say try them both cause everyones opinion is there own. fender amp very good for clean not great for overdrive and marshall is the oposite but im sure some people will tell you otherwise :)

  • man you really can make thee guitar twang well im buying the same amp and it fits my blues guitar style well

  • Dude, im just fed up. After hearing so many good guitarist on Youtube i thought that noone could impress me anymore. But this... You just totally blew me away. Anyway, good luck mate

  • cheers mate that means a lot.

  • im 14 and have been playing guitar for one year and this is what i DREAM of being able to do

  • cheers mate, keep practicing and if theres anything i can help you with just drop me a message. all the best. Ant

  • How many hours a day and for how long did you have to practise to get up to that standard? Great vid. btw.

  • cheers mate great comment, i used to practice a lot until i discovered beer and girls lol :). i have been playing for 18 years now and i think its important to really enjoy it.

  • i think this is what music will be like in heaven.....

  • dude best comment ever thanks very much :)

  • 3:60 sounds like mcready jammin in even flow live. sounds wicked!

5/5 wish i could play like it

  • love pearl jam, thanks for the great comment :)

  • Dude! Thats awesome!!

    Why did you sold it?

  • I go a dsl50 head and cab instead it just suited me better :)

  • would you recommend this amp tho ?

    even tho u sold it

because im still decide between the DSL and this one

    thanks !

i play mostly blues and classic rock

  • in my personal opinion the dsl50 head is the greatest marshall ever absolutely perfect for dirty rock and blues. please try them both out though :)

  • Nice playing man! Love the tone.

  • ahhh man thats class

  • That was awesome bro. Keep up the good work :)

  • I hate you......your so bloody good....well done!

  • Model stratocaster and pick up? Compliments, good sound for your marshall vintage!!!

  • cheers mate its a japanese candy apple red with a kent armstrong hotrail at the bridge

  • Hey, I've been wathcing your videos and trying to copy some of the technique you have for tips. And its been killing me, what are your greatest influence? I mean I see a ALOT of blues but are you fond of John Petrucci or Vai or Satch?

  • hi mate i would say my biggest influence is slash closely followed by jimmy page and angus young. :)

  • Where with himself the Backing Track that you use in this video to improvise? you play guitar very well my respect, greetings from Mexico !!!

  • Comment removed

  • Amazing! Stunning!

  • I'v been listening to a few of your vids, really like your sound and I'v been looking into getting a vintage modern amp or maybe an orange ad30. How do you like yours. Is it a good way to go? Keep up what your doing:D

  • hi mate i didnt really get on with it to be honest. traded it for a dsl 50 watt which suited me much better. i would highly reccomend testing them out so you get the right one for you.

  • what wah you got dude

  • its the vai bad horsie 2 and it rocks

  • y did ya sell such a freakin awesum playin and awesum playin

btw is ur strat a vs version or juss stndard

  • got a dsl which i love more. its a jap import strat.

  • sounds good

  • did you use any pedals to boost the gain or is it all the amps natural distortion?

man i love the strat btw ! :) and awesome playing!!

  • cheers mate. i used an mxr microamp to give the front end some kick at bedroom volume.

  • you rock man O_O

  • man you definitly got the blues...

    good job.

  • Dude, I wanna be you when I grow up! Outstanding playing.

  • ha ha thats ace

  • DAMN YOUR GOOD!

  • How much are you selling it for?

  • hi mate i must change the title as i have now sold it but i do have a jvm for sale :)

  • What amp would you recommend for playing rock/blues. I want to get a Fat/warm/crunchy/dirty sound. I play a Strat. Awesome guitar playing btw! Thanks for displaying the MV. From reading the comments looks like you gave that one up.

  • hi mate yeah i got rid of the vm cause it wasnt doing it for me, also got a jvm but its so full of circuits i think the tone has suffered. in my honest opinion the best amp i have played through is the 50 watt marshall dsl into a 2x12 cab oh and i own one now lol. check out my new vids for a demo of it but must say it sounds better in real life. hope this helps your decision :)

  • Superrr

  • super isnt the word

  • y u sellin?

  • main reasons are the effects loop is terrible and the reverb is worse lol. the replacement valves are very expensive because they are kt66 oh and i just got a marshall dsl 50 which is just amazing.:)

  • very nice, very nice

  • Great job,awesome tone!5 stars!

Where can I get this backing track?

  • 10 stars mate!! got one of these babys, traded in an orange for it and am well impressed with it!! (i want a dr z!!!)

  • Absolutely brilliant! Im looking for a vintage modern 2266 combo atm but i am poor haha. I only have £450 to spend on a decent amp at the moment. I have a Gibson Les Paul Classic and a line 6 pod XT atm. anyone help me out??

  • hey dude message me and we may be able to come up with a deal. :)

  • Peavey windsor with any marshall cab.

  • u want a peavy valveking 112?

  • actually i am very interested in a valve king. the vintage modern has gone now but i am selling a mint condition marshall jvm combo.

  • You are the best...

  • Where was the "blues"?

  • its a blues backing track and im playing the blues scale. I have been told its more like texas blues but oh well, at the end of the day its just me showing off. :)

  • is that the 2266c combo?

If so, what pedals/effects/OD are you using?

  • yes mate, only a mxr microamp to drive it harder at low volumes oh and a bad horsie 2 wah. :)

  • you made her sing in this video man

  • is that strait into the amp?

  • bit of mxr microamp first just for a bit of a kick. dont normally need it but the neighbours were in at the time so had to keep it down :)

  • hi mate 16 years at last count, that makes me feel old lol

  • Hey man, jsut wanted to no if u are makeing ur own backing tracks, if not can u tell me where i can find some sick ones like this??

O yeah and Amazing Vids man Keep postin up!!

  • cheers dude, think i just got them off limewire mate. :)

  • what was the name of this track that you used or did u just search blues track on limewire..

    S.G

  • i love that you start by saying "take 2......again", you rock dude, love you like a fat kid loves cake X

  • that was amazing...

  • you rock, again...

  • are you in a band?

  • hi dude yeah im in a band called wilcox, if you search wilcox cavern there should be some vids :)

  • Hey, I gotta a new Marhall VintageModern Amp too!! I love the sound. Great playin'. Check out my "Eric Clapton Style " video to hear my new amp!Cheers!

  • Fuckin' cool!

    Vintage modern rocks!

  • hey man what pedals do u have on that guitar to get that sick ass sound lol. Plus what pickups are u rocking ?

  • hi mate im using an mxr microamp just for a bit of kick at bedroom amp volume oh and a bad horsie 2 thats it. its a kent armstrong stacked humbucker at the bridge and 2 really cheap squire start pickups mid and neck :)

  • Hey dude, nice playing.

Just wondering how loud your amp goes. I have the same amp and with a tele plugged in on full, and the master full, pre-amps full & on the high gain setting, my friends fender deville matches it at volume about 40%. This sound right to you?

  • hi mate yes that sounds right its weird when i use at my local pub i have volume up to half but with my spider valve which is 40 watts i have it at about quarter to 12. Think its just the way it is. hope this helps. oh by the way my effects loop is total crap and doesnt like any delay pedals at all. :(

  • plus the fenders use a linear taper pot instead of an audio taper pot. So, in other words, you get all your volume from 2-5 on the fenders, where an audio taper pot would give you a smooth sweep from 1-10. Sadly, the Deville doesn't get any louder once you're up to 4, it just gets more compressed.

  • SLOW BLUES EHH???

  • Having heard him play that in a club, the general feeling was excitement and enjoyment.

  • well, maybe it's not that warm, but it's a fuckin' good playing anyway, I really enjoy your style! If you got .."more feeling" probably you'd get even better! bad comments are shit

  • i so in love with the tone!

  • Brilliant. xxxx

  • Great playing! I want one of those 2266C so bad right now!!

  • its a great little amp although i really want to try a blackstar artisan. cheers for the comments.

  • I got that amazin amp :)

  • Ant, thats frekin good, ignore that knob who posted negative shite !!!

  • cheers mate, hows it going anyway dude?

  • Very nice!

  • AMAZING! It really rocked the shit out of me.

  • Sorry. I disagree with the last guy. I think the clip is just fine.

  • Ok,to fast and no feeling at all, just finger dragracing, thats not a blues, sorry thats it,

  • ok maybe its a bit more satriani than bb king but leave it with me and i will record a new one with more feeling over the weekend. cheers for the comment> : )

  • i tried to find one of you videos showing how it's done as you obviously know what you're talking about...... i couldn't find anything! i can only assume you're full of shit and don't have a clue what you're talking about! Great tune Mr Foote!

  • Actually, I think you'll find that if he played that in a club or that was put on in the car or whatever, the 'feeling' would be excitement and enjoyment. So ... you're talking out of your ass. Not everyone has to create an 'emotional' solo that makes people cry. Gawds sake, the word 'emotion' caters to many different feelings. Learn what it means before slagging off quality playing like this!

  • sorry dude but slow blues with 'feeling' gets shit boring

  • Are those gold sensor pups?

    Awesome as usual

  • thanks for the great comment, the bridge pickup is a kent armstrong stacked humbucker and the other 2 are really cheap crappy single coils off a squire strat, i just love the sound they make. :)

  • Yeah, I find people overlook 'stock' pups quite a lot, the Kent does sound great though.

  • Another brill video. Keep at it.

  • Awesome as expected. Glad to see a new jam video keep up the awesome work!
