  • where did you get this screenshot, if you don't mind me asking? was it in deleted scenes?

  • I am officially and utterly enamour'd of this song.

  • einfach wunderschön

  • I usually dislike musicals, but I REALLY loved this movie. Getting to see shirtless guys was a simple plus. ^_^ Tanner Cohen looks a lot like Zac Efron, too.

  • @KaiCrest I said the exact same thing about Tanner!

  • the soundtrack actually helped me finish a research paper for Shakespeare's Twelth Night and Othello---weird I know; but inspiration comes differently.

  • I bought it off play.com, and I'm waiting for it to arrive eagerly. I've watched the trailer like a million times already, and I'm trying to avoid searching for it online so that I can watch, for the first time, with decent quality.

  • @NxyDolli Baby Netflix has it (of course, you have probably already received it by now). Beautiful, no?

  • @HonoraryBeaner Absolutely Amazing - I have watched it so many times that I know most of the words off by heart. Which is good, because it means I can randomly quote Shakespeare and look ridiculously intelligent :P

  • @NxyDolli Oh that made me literally lol and I thank you for that. I personally think the best lines are "I'll follow thee. I'll follow thee and make a heaven of hell." Somebody said that to me, I would be totally swept off my feet :-)

  • @HonoraryBeaner my favourite part of the song is 2:02 to 2:10 - it gives me chills ^_^

  • he seriously has the most amazing voice ever. not kidding.

  • i rly love this song its a verysweet song to me it saying iam wat iam get over it

  • Stumbled accross the DVD at HMV n thought why not... now its one of my fave films :) its just sooo sweet, with the cutest ending everrr, and Tanner Cohen is gorgeous, with an amazing voice which just makes him hotter :D

  • I love this movie so much. I hate Shakespeare EXCEPT A Midsummer Nights Dream... and IT'S A MUSICAL oh my goddd.

  • GHP 2010. :)

  • I went past this movie several time on the netflixs instant queue before I was really board one night and decided that with three stars it couldn’t be all bad so I gave it a watch .. though the synopsis they provide doesn’t come close to telling you about the movie! that is why it took me so long to get to it .. but is an excellent adaptation !!!

  • I LOVE this song! And the movie its from! They r so aweasome! Is there a way to save it to my bb?

  • Tanner Cohen is so gorgeous and a great singer/actor

  • @Goatoftheforest ... I'm not sure if your a guy9proubley0 but f your not. He is gay. Which doesn't bother me at all. I like it.

  • I want this song where can i download it ?

  • This song makes my life. It's so beautiful

  • Faeries unite and sing with them!

Awesome song love it soo much!!!!!

  • One of the best movies I've ever saw !!!!

  • i love the movie i love the song

i love his voice i love him

  • :) fab!

  • "LUNARTICO" is a great gay film!!! check it out

-the one with the orange cage!

  • asome song. :)

I want to see the movie now.

  • This is such a phenomenal song, and and even greater movie... I think I watch it once a week at this point :S

  • I looove Were The World Mine movie so much! <3

It goes up on the list on one of my favorite movies.

Do you know where i can download the songs from the movie?

  • Give Me Your Hands should e uploaded too please i love this movie, its so beautiful

  • I love this movie. Easily my favorite movie from this year. The score, the acting and the imagery of the movie had me smiling the entire time. <3

  • i love this song!!! ome, he is really hot!

  • Download?

  • Where you have "abandon" it should be "up and down". ^^

  • I double checked the original Shakespeare text, too, and yup, it's "up and down". Oddly, though, Bottom's original speech has him saying "I will WALK up and down here" rather than "I will WORK up and down here", as the song has it. Anyone know if this is one of those cases of a different Shakespeare folio actually having a different word there, and the filmmakers are using a different one as a source?

  • I've never preformed in Midsummer's, but I've watched it many a time.

I'm thinking they are using a different interpretation, maybe. Erm...hm...perhaps...gah, I'm not too sure. Maybe to show he's doing his work by getting the flower? x_x Sorry, I'm not much help.

I'm using this song for a musical audition. :D

  • I love this song.

  • Good job, Phantasmex, on both song and lyrics. This is such a beautiful song!

The picture that is posted with the song is, also, on the "gay" cover version of the DVD. It's available at TLA Video on-line, along with the soundtrack. It's a little annoying that in this day and age the studio feels that it has to put out both a "gay" and a "non-gay" cover for such a great film.

  • From the lyrics...

"Mine ear is much enamour'd of thy note.

So is mine eye enthralled into thy shape"

    From the script...

JONATHAN: "Nice pipes. I heard you audtion."

    ...and...

    JONATHAN: [smacks Timothy's ass]

    "That was great form."

Did anyone else get the parallels???

Simply brilliant... the entire movie, score, cinematography, songs, performances, cast....SIMPLY BRILLIANT. Bravo!

  • i actually never could quite make out what johnathan says there when he sings those lines, cause its soooo quiet haha

but i can honestly say i would have never caught that haha

great job putting that together =] man i really wish i could notice those things =/ lol

  • I bought the soundtrack on amazon so I could get the pix in the case. I was hoping for lyrics, but they're not included :(

Tanner is awesome. His pure angelic powerful voice...I love the chemestry with Nathaniel, too. Watch the scene where they're rehearsing-he hoots looks at Timothy constantly--soo cute! Also, I love the young,long-ish-haired guy who is a fabulous dancer. Tom G. puts him right in front a lot. I play this music on my ipod all the time.~~thankx!!

  • omg wait where can i find the rehearsing your talking about!?!?

  • FUKKKKING AMAZINGGG

  • "My ears should catch your voice,

    My eye your eye,

My tongue should catch your tougue's sweet melody,

My tougue, your tougue, were the world mine."

what a great words.and i really love this part lyrics.(and this song really really AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • I love how the instruments are played in 2:03 <3

also his falsetto really helps :'D

  • iTunes :). Bought it as soon as I knew the title :D

  • this song is beautiful. I cried.

  • I know I cried too

  • It was so beautiful. It really speaks. Not to mention the purity of tanner cohens voice.

  • I know he has a very euphonic voice. I want to buy the soundtrack, or stream the mp3, but I don't know where. :/

  • I think I've listened to this eight times in a row. I'm in love!

  • It is just one of those songs that get stuck in your head believe me I know.

  • beautiful song, and a beautiful story, just finished watching this film, and i LOVED it!!! =D

  • i so want the mp3 file

  • lol this songs got a lot of lines from midsummer, which is why its prolly my favorite, also its my fav scene too

  • FINALLY SAW THIS MOVIE! its online so I suggest you buy the DVD or search for it. It was everything I expected and a little more. Glad to have seen it

  • I have not heard of this before but have fallen in love with the songs and the story so can't wait until it hopefully comes out in England!

  • I just finished watching the DVD I will buy the soundtrack. Enjoy

  • I think the lyrics aren't supposed to say abandon, just "up and down" again. Abandon doesn't make sense.

I will lead them up and down!

  • Abandon makes perfect sense. It means...without restraint or any kind of moderation. Like saying someone was driving with reckless abandon.

  • I think it means they're flying up and down to search for the flower.

  • I love this song.

  • The teacher was the Faerie Queen. It was obvious especially in the part where she was singing near at end.

I love this movie and I'm going to buy it! ;D

    Johnathan is so memorizing...

I would be Timothy any day.

  • No, she wasn't.

  • I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one addicted to this song =D

  • What a great movie! I have already watched it 3 times. I love this song in particular. I have listen to it a million times at work.

  • I think even William would agree with this, it is so great. The DVD has just gone on sale in Australia, of course I rushed to the Bookshop and purchased it. The voice, like gentle summer rains, sweet and soft.

  • does anyone else think the teacher was Queen Tittania, or however you spell it?

  • Yes.. i think too--

  • I think she is just a faerie actually. Maybe Titania.

  • i thought so too!!!

  • If anything, she was just Puck. There's no way she was Titania.

  • @sailorpfat These are all guys...

  • I just finished watching this film. Brilliant! I was so drawn to this song and felt an instant connection to the film from its beginning :) It's definitely going into my favorites.

  • & in the last part in the movie where the teacher grabs the flower & asks who's next ,i felt so bad that i cant reach inside the monitor & take that flower .

  • omg same here, i'm just wishing i could do that so people would get a clue

  • I was thinking the exact same thing! The story grabbed me from the first few seconds that I felt such a part of it, I almost ached when I realized I had to go back to my life.

  • sometimes i wish i could do what he did, just so people could see what i have to go through and then maybe they would understand

  • i agree. they would all understand if one day they lived what we live.. but maybe it would be too harsh for them they wouldn't stand it. i think we're strong people

  • we are :)

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!

and this song is soo amazing, it brings me to tears when i listen to it, and i've listened to it like hundreds of times already

  • me too omg i loved this movie and this song is really personal to me as well!!!!! i get all jittery when i think of the movie

  • i seen this movie way to many times (if there even is suchs a thing as to many times with this movies) i love it i play this song atleast 20 times a day xD

  • fascinating voice!

  • Amazing movie I watched it for the 1st time yesterday and i had to watch it again right after lol "Fairies away! Fetch me that flower" has been stuck in my head all day :D

  • Did you buy it or did you watch it from a website? If you did from a website what website lol.

  • I love this movie, and the soundtrack is great, too! :O

  • I love this song! 2:03 to 2:21 is my favorite part.

  • !Oh why rebuke you him that love you so, lay breath so bitter on your bitter foe" i love it too

  • OOO love this song! lol, he's got such a great voice aswell. great movie ^^

  • where found the subtitles??

i sorry but i am spanish

  • This is my favorite movie ever!

  • omg his voice is AMAZING!!!

  • This was DEFINITELY my favorite scene in the movie!! Even my mother said that he has the most incredible voice. WTWM is an awesome movie, definitely one of my favorites!!! (BTW you can rent/buy it on Amazon if you don't have Comcast)

  • I just saw it! The scene that goes with it is so amazing... it's a really great movie!

  • looks amazing i want to buy the movie

  • The film is absolutely amazing! It's coming out on DVD in May 2009, but I don't know if it will be released to all regions at the same time. It's just about a masterpiece!

  • anyone where I can watch this online?

  • maybe you should buy it and support this tiny indie film.

    just a thought.

    a coughLEGALcough thought.

  • i think that maybe darkness may be considering the other legal option (i certainly hope so) of watching an uploaded video... not downloading/pirating it

iv looked everywhere... cant find it sorry

  • I know

i bought the soundtrack on itunes the only time i have bought anything on itunes- because i wanted to support the film. i also saw it in theatres.

I can't wait to buy the dvd.

  • what the other guy said is very valid. But also, the film hasn't ben released on dvd and thus no digital versions. Wait til may I think. I really wanna see the film too. : (

  • my whole point is that hello the majority of youtube going against copyright laws so yeah... I just didnt know if it was on youtube somewhere....I want to buy it on dvd but it hasnt been released where I live so I was just trying to find it online....

  • agreed.

  • o god his voice melts my heart

  • me 2!!

    LOL

  • and make a heaven of hell

    geesh - i'm melting

  • definitely also one of my favorite lines of the sone *melts*

  • that comment was supposed to be an answer to wotwotwatin's comment...

  • I agree =P I just read A Midsummer Night's Dream and realised those lines were taken from the play =D

    Luv it!

  • :-)

  • i'd rate it R.

  • "Oh why rebuke, you him that loves you so"

is my favorite line he sings, but that's just me.

  • Help! I have a question for everyone who has seen this movie! What would you rate it (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17) if you had to?

I probably am seeing it with my family, but my little sister is 13 and I'm 15 so...

I don't want my parents to freak out. xD

  • I would rate it PG13. its really cute and nothing to bad like ever. the gay theme as well as a few slightly innapropriate lines (that will go over her head more than likely). its an amazing movie.

  • This movie was so good. I watched it last night and it was just amazing.

  • i still can't get over the slide on 'shall'

  • ew gen ur sucha creep!

  • ommfg i can't wait to see this movie

  • its such an amazing movie

  • such an amazing movie. i bought the soundtrack last night and ive listened to it about 10 times in a row now.

this and the be as thou wast want are my favorites

  • i am going to transgender myself into a male, be a gay male, and go find tanner cohen, and make him love me. because i love him, but i'm a straight female.. so i don't think that would work. so yep, thats what i'm gunna do.

  • Wouldn't be easier to read through Shakespeare 's plays and find the recipe for love flower juice?

  • Comment removed

  • I saw the short, Faries, and it was great.. I cant wait till i see this one... I have the soundtrack and am in love with this song..

  • what? really? gah the trailer makes my ears cringe I think they were singing off key :S

  • nah your ears are just jacked up

they used a different way of singing

    going higher and lower

something that is very hard to do duuuhhhhh d:

  • No, Fairies was awful. Terrible acting, terrible singing, and ugly men. This one looks amazing, I'm driving five hours away so I can see it in theatres. Super excited.

  • If you're anything like me, you'll find it worth your while.

  • i agree but only in one case. the line Oh why rebuke, you him that loves you so?!... its high yeah but still beltable... they have him mixing or doing some really weird shit on that note and it sucks. other than that the vocals are always spot on.

  • this guy has a gorgeous voice!!

  • i am in LOVE with this song! i cannot WAIT to see this movie! <3

  • Timothy's songs were AMAZING! Screw the newspaper critics.

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!

  • pleez post Oh Timothy

  • I have watched the video many times and I really love it, but my English is not very good and I want to have the lyrics. If would like someone wrote them. Thanks.

  • i want to see this so badly! i luv this song!

  • I have to wait until 12 December to see it =o I'm going to the Rozefilmdagen (Pink film days). I simply HAVE to see it. Can't wait.

  • I live in oklahoma so i will have to wait until it goes on dvd or something.

I want to see it really badly.

  • UK need i say more ...!

  • Australia for me, i know ur Pain

  • Tuve la oportunidad de verla en el LesGayCineMad y me sorprendió. Sinceramente de lo mejor del festival. Si el año anterior me encandiló Un amour à taire este año lo ha hecho el momento esta versión del clásico de Shakespeare.

Oh! Why rebuke you him that loves you so?

Lay breath so bitter on your bitter foe. On your bitter foe.

    Hay que verla.

  • I saw this movie at the Madrid Lesgaicinemad and me and a friend were flabbergasted with this song. I specially like that part of "why rebuke you him that loves you so". :D

And when Jonathan wakes up from his flowery bed and sings, I thought my heart was going to burst out from my chest, he's gorgeous! :D

  • WOW i got goosebumps!

  • where can i download this movie

  • I'm totally in love with this! I'll see what I can do in going to the NYC screening.

  • DAMN...these are the kind of voices that you make love to. They sound AMAZING.

  • The sound track comes out on Nov. 11th.

  • i found out about this movie likefour months ago and this song was all i could find, but i was so excited. I'm so happy other people are enjoying it, I'm oober excited.

  • thanks a lot. anyway you could post Oh Timothy as well?
