Forza 4 - Drifting Tutorial

My name is oO A3QUITAS Oo. Just a message to all those new guys, I recently started drifting; 2 months ago. I had no clue how when I started. I entered into SHD wanting to learn. They taught me nothing. I was given one basic tune and access to a few cars in the club garage that I couldn't use. I sucked. I asked my friend rhyden, so how long have you been drifting? (rhyden is very good) He said 7 months. Next week I'm pulling off 100Ks on Fujimi old downhill and tuning my own cars. Never give up.

@GTMotionTV The only thing with the vantage is that you cant hold big drifts with it, i just spin out. i prefer the the mustang (the new one)

I don't get it. I can take that Aston Martin onto that Camino Viejo track and place a clean 0:50.850 with just a couple warmup laps, but I can't do a clean looking drift lap within a half-hour of practicing. I can even do all of the drills shown in this and your advanced video, but the second I try to execute them in an actual drifting situation, it all falls apart.

I don't really like to drift with american muscle cuz it feels too easy and kinda slow...so I always take a japanese rwd car like a honda s2k or a silvia s14...etc etc. I have one question, and I hope you can answer. First of all, should I upgrade the car with total race parts, or should I keep with the street parts and use some race? Second, any advices on how to make the configurations in order to have a fast professional drift? without that thing that makes the car go sideways without turning

No, you need to be able to use your power. However, if you desire, you can bounce off the rev limited if you have already initiated your drift, and have enough speed to keep your drift without adding more power.

Nice tutorial but I find the Aston too twitchy for beginners. The 2003 BMW M5 E39 is longer in wheelbase, and has a bit more control, but that's me. Nice job.

Ok here is what you do.

1) Try the first technique, the circle technique, over and over until you can do wide circles and control the car sliding in a circle.

2) Haul ass to anywhere on the track, pull the ebrake expecting the spin out and let your instincts take over, stop thinking about what your supposed to do, do what you feel you need to do naturally.

@2k10markymc It's another name for the handbrake. E-Brake = Emergency Brake. The E-Brake is the "B" button on the controller. Obviously you already knew that.

i just dont understand what is a 4 point drift for forza 4 :D you have done perfect drifts and they are just 3 point drifts. iam level 33 now and i drifted so much but never got a 4 point. just 3 point over and over. do oyu know what you have to do for a 4 point drift? what does the developers think? that everyone has to be ken block? :D
