Let me explain it simply: as an elected servant, he's working for the public. The public is his employer. As the employee, he receives benefits from his employer, the public. In socialized healthcare, a citizen works for noone, earns no benefit. It's an entitlement, paid by everyone. Gov't benefits to gov't workers are not social.
