Ah fuck man. I played this game Nov 09, 'cause I got bored of WoW. It was an amazing experience, but the bugs in the capital city etc made it impossible. I'm gonna play it again. I hope the bugs are out tho.

Actually Wow is ALREADY falling, in Asia Aion is near at having more players then WoW already(less then 1 year since launch there), in Europe and US, Aion has more registered people now(in just 10 days since launch) then WoW had 3 months after launch.
Only problem for EU/US players right now is lack of server space since NCSoft did not expect this many people hitting Aion since day 1. Tho as far as their news say, they will reach enough server capacity(for EU/US) in about a week.
In response to your asian thing: asia has laws against certain amounts of play time on WoW...so it lost popularity there because of restricted play time. AION currently has no such limits, which is why it has sold so much there. Also, in WoWs first months of sale, most of the world was still on Dial-up in whihc online games werent really fun or worth it. The coin is stil up in the air as far as im concerned.
Also, let us remember that WoW has been out for 5 years and is doing amazingly well even after so many years. The rating cannot really be done until we see how Aion lasts in that time. I don't see why we have to compare games anyways, or say which is better...who cares? Play which one you want and does it really matter if more asians play this one than that one? Incorrect. Azphel, one of the 12 guardians of the tower killed the Balaur leader as they were conducting the meeting. Then the two head guardians sacrificed themselves to raise the barrier again, but in turn destroyed themselves and the tower. Which is why the Elyos hate the Asmodians and vice versa. Asmodians believe Elyos to be to forgiving and the Elyos believe the Asmodians to be to war mongering.
The "assassination" was of one of the Dragon Lords (bad guy) by an Empyrean Lord (good guy), believed to have been Azphel. This Assassination occured when the Balaur were invited to partake in peace negotiations. After the Dragon Lord fell, the Balaur were already at the base of the Tower and started to rip it appart.
Yeah the balaur got attacked, according to ingame info no one was sure which side attacked first, but next part is that the balaur launch a huge fireball towards the tower which then shreds the world in 2 pieces or something like that. Think it said that 2 lords still summoned a shield which protected atreia from total destruction :O

the problem with all the talk about how the planet worked is that they story is too complex to explain in a 2 minute cintematic, rest assured that if you read the lore on their website it makes a deal of sense... not complete 100% scientific but more than enough for a fantasy game
of course, it is not logical that the planet is torn into two halfes, and each of that halfes have a countryside, but it is a fantasy mmorpg, it has not to be logical, i find it looks very good and it is a good idea and story!
Lolz look at the start of the video, there is atmosphere. Atmosphere + clouds = planet outer surface and not inner core. The planet separating in half makes zero sense besides for cinematic reasons. Its not the light origin that is in question but the logic of living in the inner core of a planet. Was the tower providing also the fake atmostphere, clouds, gravity?
I don't really understand how they live in the core of the planet, but any mass great enough creates it's own atmostphere. Even our moon has one, small as it might be.
wait... so if the planet split when the tower was destroyed, so now sunlight just shown on elysea, how was there sunlight on the planet to begin with?
like before it split doesnt it look completely closed up? then it splits and sunlight shines on elysea only and not asmodae, however it was somehow shining on BOTH sides prior, even tho the planet was completely closed up? this doesnt make much sense... lol

I use to play WOW too, I don't understand why other WOW players keep holding on to WOW so bad and saying Aion and every new MMO coming out sucks. Like seriously get over yourselves and the time, money, and friends or lovers you lost over WOW and admit that its getting old. MMOs Don't last forever. When Everquest arrived thats all we knew. Than WOW showed up and took its place, now its Aion's turn to take the crown, in a couple years itll be another MMO. Get over it WOW fans it got old.
But to be honest, die hard fans wont die. I am a pure L2 fan. I will never let go of L2, BUT, I would always try and accept new mmos. AION has captured my interest. WoW, was interesting, but boring (its just like any other old mmo)
First of all its Ma'am not sir. And Second, you say a game is a bust before it has even come out of beta. Until we see its progress in release than you can talk. Cause One, Aion has better promotion than AOC. Aions beta has been more organized. Its already received awards and is already number 1 in Korea.
Well, you see, there was a time when warhammer online was in beta form, and there was still talk about how it was going to "Destroy wow" and guess what, WoW is still alive and kicking. The development team of Age of Conan even said so themselves that AoC was going to beat the shit out of WoW, and guess what, WoW is still alive and kicking, Aion will be a good game, no doubt, however saying it will "Kill wow" is stupid, as you can't take 13 million people away from one game.
I'm an old school WoW fanatic and i've played 4 betas so far for Aion and will tell you its amazing. Non-noob catering game that's meant for people to put time into it to get something. Great graphics, armor, low requirements to run. The game really has everything WoW went missing after lvl 60.
Just don't compare WoW and Aion. WoW've got the enviroment from EU and USA programmers, and Aion is simple Asian. Whatever, WoW appears 4 years ago, and since WotLK it sucks. It was programmed looking for great gameplay, and not graphics (breaking the last MMO tendency). Aion comes and improves WoW, but it's just WoW with other lore and graphics, it's not better or worse than WoW.

Azphel blew the peace conference with the Balaur. Azpehl Faught after that at the north side of the Tower and was during the destruction left behind on the Asmodian side.
Ergo the Asmodians caused the destruction by assasinating a Dragon Lord.
Neither side is evil. Its just one big misunderstanding. In the trailer thats whenever was "human" there was no Asmodian or Elyos. Than during the peace treaty someone assassinated one of the Balaur and the Balaur began to attack and one of them attack the core of the tower. Thats how it shattered. The people who later would be asmodians believed the peace treaty was foolish. While the people who would later be Elyos were for it. Thats where the arguments come from. Both have killed villages.
Atreia was a Dyson Sphere planet, built around The Tower of Eternity. When it fragmented, it stopped spinning, so the light from the nearby sun flowed only into Elysea. Asmodae was left in darkness. Thus, the game as we know it.
still prospers in the light while the Asmodian side is forever in darkness and cold (as the sun doesn't reach there). To cope with that their skin darkened (blood vessels near the skin contracted to hold in heat Im guessing) and they grew manes down their backs. The two sides are forever at war, blaming the destruction of their planet on one another. In truth the Elyos are more the bad guys IMO, as they slaughtered women and children ;3..but it is up to you to decide!
No actually the Elyos aren't the bad guys. Asmodians not so much either they've both done evils. If you read the lore, The first time the elyos and asmodians met, the asmodians killed their squad leader when he wouldnt say the serpham lords were responsible for the tower falling. In retaliation the surviving elyos chased down the asmodians and killed villagers. But Asmodians have killed women and children as well. The person who wrote the Elyos lore said his village was destroyed by asmodians.
The Tower of Eternity had a glowing ball thingy near the top of it that acted like an artificial star. The two sides were about to reach a peace when someone..they dont know who..assassinated one of the heads of the Balaar..so the Balaar blew up the Tower of Eternity to punish them for once and for all. The planet WAS hollow and the destruction of the tower meant their light/heat source was gone..until they saw the star nearby for the first time. Now half the world, the Elyos side, (cont)
so what did they live inside the planet before? because b4 it split they were all around the large pillar and that appears to be where the core of this planet should be.

Because they [Asmodians] thought the other half [Elyos]has been destroyed. Years later, they discovered, that the other half still exists. There is a connection between those two halves called The Abyss.
Yeah I meant the outer crust on the Asmodian's own side, not the Elyos side or anywhere in between. Sorry for confusion in the question. I suppose that part is too hot because it drifted too close to their star?
Because the sides broke apart and the gap between the two edges is extremely far apart. (it doesn't look that far apart because the camera is pulled way back, but try to remember it's a planet, ok? The Abyss is only accessible by portal, since it's much to far to fly.
What beta's are there still coming for Aion, Cause im thinking of preordering it but i heard there's only 1 beta left to play ?? Could some1 please inform me :).
I´ve been playing Aion since the very first day and I am amazed how much it changed and became better since then.
It is now version 2.6.0.1 and keeps going strong.

I use to play WOW too, I don't understand why other WOW players keep holding on to WOW so bad and saying Aion and every new MMO coming out sucks. Like seriously get over yourselves and the time, money, and friends or lovers you lost over WOW and admit that its getting old. MMOs Don't last forever. When Everquest arrived thats all we knew. Than WOW showed up and took its place, now its Aion's turn to take the crown, in a couple years itll be another MMO. Get over it WOW fans it got old.

But to be honest, die hard fans wont die. I am a pure L2 fan. I will never let go of L2, BUT, I would always try and accept new mmos. AION has captured my interest. WoW, was interesting, but boring (its just like any other old mmo)

First of all its Ma'am not sir. And Second, you say a game is a bust before it has even come out of beta. Until we see its progress in release than you can talk. Cause One, Aion has better promotion than AOC. Aions beta has been more organized. Its already received awards and is already number 1 in Korea.

Well, you see, there was a time when warhammer online was in beta form, and there was still talk about how it was going to "Destroy wow" and guess what, WoW is still alive and kicking. The development team of Age of Conan even said so themselves that AoC was going to beat the shit out of WoW, and guess what, WoW is still alive and kicking, Aion will be a good game, no doubt, however saying it will "Kill wow" is stupid, as you can't take 13 million people away from one game.

I'm an old school WoW fanatic and i've played 4 betas so far for Aion and will tell you its amazing. Non-noob catering game that's meant for people to put time into it to get something. Great graphics, armor, low requirements to run. The game really has everything WoW went missing after lvl 60.

Just don't compare WoW and Aion. WoW've got the enviroment from EU and USA programmers, and Aion is simple Asian. Whatever, WoW appears 4 years ago, and since WotLK it sucks. It was programmed looking for great gameplay, and not graphics (breaking the last MMO tendency). Aion comes and improves WoW, but it's just WoW with other lore and graphics, it's not better or worse than WoW.

Azphel blew the peace conference with the Balaur. Azpehl Faught after that at the north side of the Tower and was during the destruction left behind on the Asmodian side.
Ergo the Asmodians caused the destruction by assasinating a Dragon Lord.

Neither side is evil. Its just one big misunderstanding. In the trailer thats whenever was "human" there was no Asmodian or Elyos. Than during the peace treaty someone assassinated one of the Balaur and the Balaur began to attack and one of them attack the core of the tower. Thats how it shattered. The people who later would be asmodians believed the peace treaty was foolish. While the people who would later be Elyos were for it. Thats where the arguments come from. Both have killed villages.

Atreia was a Dyson Sphere planet, built around The Tower of Eternity. When it fragmented, it stopped spinning, so the light from the nearby sun flowed only into Elysea. Asmodae was left in darkness. Thus, the game as we know it.

still prospers in the light while the Asmodian side is forever in darkness and cold (as the sun doesn't reach there). To cope with that their skin darkened (blood vessels near the skin contracted to hold in heat Im guessing) and they grew manes down their backs. The two sides are forever at war, blaming the destruction of their planet on one another. In truth the Elyos are more the bad guys IMO, as they slaughtered women and children ;3..but it is up to you to decide!

No actually the Elyos aren't the bad guys. Asmodians not so much either they've both done evils. If you read the lore, The first time the elyos and asmodians met, the asmodians killed their squad leader when he wouldnt say the serpham lords were responsible for the tower falling. In retaliation the surviving elyos chased down the asmodians and killed villagers. But Asmodians have killed women and children as well. The person who wrote the Elyos lore said his village was destroyed by asmodians.

The Tower of Eternity had a glowing ball thingy near the top of it that acted like an artificial star. The two sides were about to reach a peace when someone..they dont know who..assassinated one of the heads of the Balaar..so the Balaar blew up the Tower of Eternity to punish them for once and for all. The planet WAS hollow and the destruction of the tower meant their light/heat source was gone..until they saw the star nearby for the first time. Now half the world, the Elyos side, (cont)

Because the sides broke apart and the gap between the two edges is extremely far apart. (it doesn't look that far apart because the camera is pulled way back, but try to remember it's a planet, ok? The Abyss is only accessible by portal, since it's much to far to fly.
