even with less special effect and technology, this is wonderfully made film. I would not even bother to compare it with other version. simply the best in anyway you look at it. Liu xiao ling tong, IMO is the best actor I have ever seen and portrays sun wokong more than perfectly. his acting alone elevates this film to another level and is a real classic gem. this is a real entertainment for all asians

Zeus is not stronger! Are your friends white? Zeus is god of thunder but wukong is harder than diamond. They are both immortal but wukong can have any wish by blowing 3 hairs. Trust me, I know how people do not understand sun wukong is equal to heaven. Wukong is the Asian chuck norris. Plus after wukong is made Buddha he is way stronger and could crush Zeus under a mountain.

@AnythingButAnime Without a doubt, I just feel ashamed that even with todays technology and dedicated actors that no one even comes remotely close to playing the role of the monkey king that was depicted in this series. Everyone who has played the role has been CLEARLY too human.

@SunnySideUp360 I think that's there intention. All the TVB versions is geared toward comedy than the serious tone that this one is. I don't even like the new mainland version now. I think that actor is too hyper and does things over the top.
