I had a problem answering calls, I found out that you need to remove the protective sheet, as there is a censor at the top right hand corner, even if you have a cut out the touch pad is so sensative that it thinks you are holding it up to your ear so it turns the front panel black to save power. So don't put any protective sheets. hope this helps anyone. I think the phone is great, but yes it does help to have the answer buttons.
