  • wat do they grade the card bye

  • i have the kareem abdul jabbar sticker and the whole sticker set how do you get the 1986 1987 card set

  • were do u get ur cards

  • Why did u say baseball

  • What up guy, appreciate you opening that pack. You knew it was a fake before you opened it, you should of sent that back and got your money. Some sports card dealers are scumbags. I am working on a graded 86-87 Fleer set and it is so tough to find those cards centered. You get anything new for your collection?

  • HI there the last card you showed on here the graded Jordan is actually a 3rd year Jordan from 1988-89 still a great card to have, thanks for the great video

  • @hellogoodbyebeatles thats what he said retard 2nd year after rc year that would be 3rd year

  • Good video! I worked at card shop in the mid-90's. The owner had a whole box of the 1986 Fleer Bkball sitting on the shelf. Many people came in and wow'd at them, but I never sold one ($200 a pack). He ended up selling the shop that summer...and he wanted to go out with a bang...and so he opened the box! Upon taking the box down, he realized that a "former" employee (who he fired) had gone and opened each pack, removed Jordans/Barkleys/Malones, and refolded every pack! MAN WAS HE PISSED!

  • @Packerscorner -The good part is because I worked all summer for him (and he was selling the store) he gave me ALL the cards, packs, and the box as a gift! Pretty sweet even though I didn't collect basketball. That was in 1995. I actually ended up selling it all on about 5 years ago. Made more than I thought I would...but now I wish I would have kept them!

  • This same thing happen to me. I got a Fleer basketball pack from 1989 and the Magic Johnson sticker didn't even have any place to peel it. But the back clearly said "peel and bend here".

  • This is clearly a fake pack!

  • did u pay 15o dollars for a fake pack

  • You are a tool... you question the authenticity because of the fold on the back? The folds on the wax vary from pack to pack, it is the seal that is important when determining if it's fake or not. People don't make fake wrappers of these, they reseal them instead after removing the cards they want to keep. I doubt you were a victim of that since you pulled the Jordan sticker. Funny that you just threw it down and probably damaged it.

  • @tradrjakk Dude, the sticker was a fake. You couldn't even pull it off. If you think the con artist actually 'made' the wrapper instead of just taking commons and stuffing them into an empty legit wrapper, you're a fucking moron.

  • @SashaNein The poster of the video was the one who thought it was a fake wrapper and card, not me. He obviously does not know enough to determine what is fake or real. He is the moron not me, sir.

  • @tradrjakk I doubt you even watched the whole video. The freaking Jordan Sticker wasn't even a sticker. Also, the sticker would be towards the middle of the pack not the very back card.

  • whoa whoa did he say baseball fans?

  • DID YOU EVER FIND OUT IF THE CARD WAS FAKE OR DO YOU NO ITS A FAKE

  • @slampass haha nice! Same thing happened to my friend and he eventually sold his for about $8500

  • There is an opened box of 86' fleer on ebay being sold off by the pack but after watching this video i'm highly suspicious of what this guy (golfmatchteeup) has listed because if you look at the packs in the box they have 2 separate looking packs just like the ones in the video. One side looks real and the other doesn't. The guy even stated on the description page that he doesn't know if they've been opened and resealed. I want to know if people feel the same way i do or if i'm just paranoid.

  • Imagine if it was real and he did pull a Jordan. lol Or if once he opened, it also came with a note from the ebay seller that says - "Now u cant return it cause you opened this. I told u so." Good video however.

  • Did the card come back fake from PSA or what?

  • What if the graded pack is a fake it could be a reseil or no good rookie cards in the you can't look in see what's in there

  • HEY HE KIND OF TALKS LIKE JORY CARON. THUMBS UP IF YOU KNOW WHO HE IS.

  • Hey DZ, I love your videos man. Its good to know there are other collectors out there that enjoy the hobby as much as I do! Keep up the awesome vids!

  • i have seen graded packs with the nba basketball print the same as your searched pack and the seals on back are not always folded the same. i dont think that means anything. i also bet that jordan sticker is real. i have never seen a counterfeit jordan rookie sticker only tons of #57

  • does grading a card or pack increase its value regardless of condition?

  • @MrWakethesheeple The raw footage shows the regular cards I pulled, but I had to delete it to get the video below 10mins... I do give the card #'s though, so you know what cards I pulled. If someone searched the pack, why would they leave a real jordan sticker in there?? Doesn't seem to make sense...

  • I've been watching some of your videos. You have a tremendous sports card collection! I really hope you get that Jordan sticker graded soon so we can see who's right!

  • @GuamStars Thanks GuamStars. I def plan to get the sticker graded -- I will let you know what happens!! (not sure when i'll be able to get around to doing it though)

  • Good to see someone exposing someone selling bad packs. I agree, stick with graded and spend the extra money. I would say 99.9% ungraded packs on ebay are definately bad.

  • Love the video! Thankfully I have a wax box of the 86' Fleer basketball still unopened after all these years. I bought it at a small card shop on Woodward Ave in Royal Oak, and paid around 13 dollars for it at the time. It still remains one of the few items I have not opened up. GOOD TIMES!!

  • @slampass Wow!! Can you make a video of the box?? I'm sure all the collectors on youtube would love to see that (myself included)!!!

  • Hey DZ, thanks for exposing these scam artists! This has happened to me before, as well. Keep up the great work!

  • @spaw74 Thanks for your comment and your support for making a video like this!

  • sometimes cards get bent, cmon it's not fake!

  • jeeez leave the guy alone hes just trying to share some useful information no need to criticize him...anyway good vid i liked been a fan since day 1. Have a good day! keep the vids coming!

  • I think you just ripped a real pack. I have seen actual 1986 Fleer packs that did not have the white space below the red text. The red portion was probabally printed separately from the white portion. As the printing process continued the printing plate may have shifted, thus eliminating the white area underneath the red text "Basketball".

  • Hi, dzolot! Thanks for sharing your latest pick-ups (and hiccups)! I don't collect basketball but it's always great to see you adding to your outstanding, vast sports collection! Hopefully this video will also be a wake-up call for some collectors.

  • I have no doubt you're right, ebay is full of scammers.

But you have to admit that it would be funny if it was real, because you might be the only person in history to throw a Michael Jordan sticker rookie :P

  • hey dzolot i like your videos and have been following u for quite sometime

no offense but u are wrong about the 1986 fleer sticker jordan rc .....its not fake

how about actually bending and peeling like the card says? i've also opened many of these packs from BBCE and I know what a Jordan sticker should look like and feel like

unless u can post a few scans maybe its ur video quality but i am sure that the jordan is REAL..the card stock is thick so u have to BEND N PEEL to get it off

  • @rockygonuts Thanks for the info. I'll definitely take another look at the sticker. Like i said in my response below, i will bring it to a card show to get it graded! Does anyone know about card sequencing / order in the packs? I give the card numbers, so maybe someone can give some info. on if the numbering makes sense. Also, there was that one card in the middle of the pack with a bent corner, which I guess is possible, but not likely...

  • I TOTALLY agree with swartc39, you evidently know nothing about Fleer packs and that was proven when you pointed out the folds on the wrapper! Fleer was very crude in the wrapping of the 1986-87 and 1987-88 packs, they were by-far not consistant and I have seen many with one side folded and even neither side folded. As for the sticker send it to be graded and back your words. It's 25 years old, I doubt seriously that you can pull the backing off after that long.

  • @bubba987 Interesting that you joined youtube TODAY, presumably to write this comment? You don't happen to know TG do you? I do not claim to be any kind of expert on 86 fleer packs - The facts in the video speak for itself!! I don't get your point about the sticker... doesn't matter how old the card is, it is NOT a sticker. It is one solid piece of cardboard!! Next time I goto a show that PSA is at, I will bring the card to get graded and will let people know the results...

  • If you truly want to do something good for the hobby, expose PSA for how inconsistent they are in regards to their grading. Right now you come off as someone who just wants ot pick and choose what is right and wrong with little proof. Show examples of PSA cards that have been bumped up or down 1 to 2 grades. Expose them for their hideous autograph authentication at shows. Mind you they don't even check the auto as they assume it just came from the signer whose line they are in.

  • I'm not sure how you can assume that the PSA pack is authentic. PSA is well known for simply being clueless in regards to grading. Send your "authentic" pack back in to be graded and it may come back as resealed. You are just as naive as so many other PSA apologists. I watched your video and I don't see anything conclusive. You admit yourself that the cards are in good enough condition to be authentic. You don't mention why the come is fake. You don't mention why the Jordan is fake.

  • @swartc39 Thanks for your comments. These are certainly good and fair points that the hobby has to address.

In terms of the pack being fake, there was a FAKE Jordan sticker in thepack!! I know it's fake, because there is NO sticker peal-off!! The card is just one solid piece of cardboard like any other ordinary card that is NOT a sticker.

  • DZ, you should leave a link to this video in the negative feedback you give him. :P

  • Thanks for the heads up! Like the collection and vids.

  • The seller is now claiming Dzlot sent in the pack to PSA and received a PSA 9 already. What?

  • Thanks for the vid! Crazy stuff!

  • Great vid. Funny how YouTube is so large now that the seller of items actully watch the vid and than have to defend themselves. Keep up the great info.

  • Great video, I was thinking about buying an ungraded 86-87 fleer pack..

  • Why don't all of you EXPERTS go to ebay item number 120681510245 and check out the wrapper!!! As for the author, my name is Tim, what's you phone number, let's talk!! FYI, i have NEVER sent in a Card, Coin, Comic ir Pack ffor grading in my life!!!!

  • I have been instructed not to say any more due to a probable liable suite

  • Thanks for the Super Bowl halftime entertainment!

  • I believe YouTube allows you to post videos 15-20mins long, so you actually didn't have to edit.

  • @dvitoc I tried to upload the original, but it got rejected. Might have been my computer software that rejected it and not youtube, but rejected non-the less... Anyway, thanks for the heads-up!!

  • Great video.

  • You know what's great about having a son-inlaw that is a pc tech and his father an attourney? I can retrieve thisguy's ip address and then sue him for slander and defimation of caractor!! DONE DEAL!!!!!

  • @tim36g So are you the seller TG?

  • @tim36g yea, sure. retard. you can't even spell, keep talking bum.

  • @tim36g is your cousin also on the seal team that took out bin laden?

  • @tim36g A PC Tech cannot get the IP address of him... Only Youtube can unless he can somehow hack Youtube (which I highly doubt). And you sold him the pack; you have his address, dumbass.

  • The ink on the fake pack is too fresh to be 25 years old...

  • Excellent, thanks for posting.

  • i gice u 10 cents for that 1969 pack i think thats the pack that has 10 cents on it lol jk nice colection

  • @danbelcourt1 Won't sell for less than 15 cents -- inflation! haha... Thanks for watching my video!

  • Kudos!! Small price to pay to show "Ethics" make this hobby, Thank You.

This will be here to aide people & have better odds to not get burned, and soured on the hobby.

Link this video on collectible MB's as a heads up for novice & established collectors.

  • Good stuff, DZ!

  • Great Video!

  • Such a badass .. great stuff as always

  • Great work! I always enjoy videos that make the hobby safer from scammers.

  • @BigPoppa72 Thanks all for all the positive feedback and support. Unfortunately, there are some real slime balls out there that we ALL have to be careful of. It's even worse when the people who make their livelihoods in the hobby are the ones abusing it...

  • What a damn good video! I was amazed at the crap cards and fake Jordan sticker. That was even worse than I expected. Our hobby needs more guys like you in it. Fraud is rampant right now and there appears to be no end in sight unfortunately.

  • Thank you for doing this
