Well, I've wrote a country song, and many hip-hop songs. Hip-hop requires FAR more creativity, because the formula for the genre is so vague you have the opportunity to really experiment, whereas country, you have a small selection of instruments which really work, and it's mostly played on the major scale.

How can you say Hip Hop has more creativity? All it is is sampling other people's music and talking over it. Country is not limited, if you're talking about mainstream yes. What about Alternative Country, Cow Punk, New Wave Country, and countless other styles that work with utmost anything? Most Hip Hop does not express anything but hoochie and coochie. As a Rapper myself, I find Hip-Hop is poetry. Gangsta rap isn't the best, but it isn't as prominent anymore.
