@1000bassnut That one was not that good. Because it was only a 6.5'' driver i had tuned it far to low and it's useless for normal listening. Notice that the subwoofer in the vid is as big as my other sub. I recommend buying a 8'' sub driver. 6.5'' drivers can go low but then you have to sacrifice in punch and upper bass notes and that will leave you whit a shitty sub that's only good for bass tests. Believe me, that design was a fail, it was tuned to 43 Hz, it should have been 50 Hz
@RWL2011 I will make it black. Some problems tho. We can't open up the Altec Lansing sub. It's made so that the amp will be damaged when opened. His parents also didn't like such loud bass. Hmm, problems!!!!!
@RWL2011 Not that one, the sub looks the same as the Altec Lansing ACS33BW. The satelite speakers are different tho. The right satelie speaker has on/off volume and bass up/down on it. Not only one volume knob
@RWL2011 Hahaha lol. I guess i am. This sub is really made for low bass, everything over the 80 Hz is weak out of this sub. But that's a good thing because then i can overpower the really low notes without overpowering the rest of the music. That subwoofer in a car would be crazy. I only need to paint it. It will be mat white. Like the rest of the old Altec Lansing system.
@1000bassnut A 6.5'' JVC driver is in the box. I will replace it with an Altec Lansing driver when it's done. The JVC driver has some small cracks on the spider so i only used it for testing. The song name: DJ Billy E - Ghetto Style Bass. All the rest of the songs are from deadmau5.
@1000bassnut That bandpass box has a L-port so you will make a L-ported box? It will be hard to get a small driver like that going low with a normal L-ported box. You need a really long narow port to do that. And that will cause chuffing noise from the port. Be carefull and download WinISD pro alpha to design your subwoofer. Choose one of the tangband 6.5'' drivers which has almost the same parameters.
@1000bassnut DJ Billy E - Ghetto Style Bass. You can make an L-port box. But that will not go as low and loud as the Bandpass subwoofer. The bandpass box has also and L-port.
It looks already a lot better. Everything is sanded nice and smooth. The best looking subwoofer box i've made yet. Now it needs some paint and after that i can bring it to the new proud owner.
3:00 damn I'm feeling that deep bass allright =)

@RWL2011 Hmm, the power supply and the amp don't lie. They are able to produce arround 50 watt rms.

@RWL2011 The amp can put out arround 50 watt rms in total. Not to bad for such a system.

@PA5cAl1 yeah what other box designs do you know of besides the bandpass design and what is the first song in the vid at 0.00

@1000bassnut DJ Billy E - Ghetto Style Bass. You can make an L-port box. But that will not go as low and loud as the Bandpass subwoofer. The bandpass box has also and L-port.
