Oh my God! You talking about precious memories. This song just brought me back to the late 80's and early 90's. My sister, my lil cousin and I use to sing this like we were a mass choir. Nothing like an anointed song to stir up my spirit.

I'm not sure, for several years Deborah was attending Monument of Faith, where Apostle Richard Henton is Pastor. I know for a fact she left Apostolic over 15 years ago.

That the truth! We used to get DOWN in kenwood. The songs we sing now don't have that same annointing. Just my personal opinion....the church has changed a lot.

Have no idea. Maybe they wanted to reach a bigger audience (other than black) and thought we couldn't do it because of our style of worship. Good question....

It is my understanding that Bishop wanted parishioners to know God's word and have a true relationship with Him. Rather than just going to church getting happy and shouting.

I believe Bishop was concerned that parishioners were just familiar with the emotional part of knowing God and not knowing His word and having relationship with Him outside of church service..

Now that Dr. Byron Brazier, Bishop's son, succeeded him as paster, it seems that he is trying to take it back to the old days... Especially in the second service on Sunday mornings.
