  • @Zaranyzerak Hey Sean, I might send you these foreign horror movies in a year or two but I can't send 'em right now cuz I'm not in the situation... If you buy these let us know but if you don't buy 'em then I'll send these to you eventually...

  • I liked the live action tv show. To me it was a bit more gritty then Herc,or Xena. That and I appreciate it for the fact I was working a night shift and living out in the sticks back in the day before sat tv/internet and this was one of the very few watchable shows that were played syndicated at 3am. So this show gets a special spot for me. This and the Poltergiest TV series.

  • @Fragminion A friend of mine used to work graveyard shift security at an old folks' home. He wasn't lucky enough to have a TV, but would often borrow Doctor Who novels from me to wile away the wee hours. :)

  • While the animated series of Conan is kind of watered down for a younger audience, I always found that series far more enjoyable than the live action series starring Ralf Moeller, that series somehow didn't feel right having Conan being a lighthearted & jovial character, plus like you said the series came out same time as Hercules & Xena so it was hard to really compete with those two shows, But the cartoon was still very entertaining.

  • @Skullgrin140 Yeah, it's really because of WHEN it came out that it was lightened up so much, of that I have no doubt. Though it's also likely because Hercules and Xena were so popular that this even got MADE in the first place. I would love to see a new Conan series on HBO or AMC that keeps that dark and gritty tone of the original stories.

  • i like the old classic movies with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

  • Ralph Moeller is my favorite Conan. I couldn't tell you why.

  • Sean seeing you being so sleepy made me sleepy :)

Love those blooper moments at the end of your vids

  • I never saw the live action Conan TV Show, I forgot that there was a second animated one since the only animated one I heard of was Conan the Adventurer

  • @snakes3425 Yeah, the second one only lasted one very short season, and I don't think it was distributed as widely as the first series.

  • @Zaranyzerak

I've never found the live action verson on DVD, so far I've only found the one cartoon series, from what I've heard many fans hated Conan and the Young Warriors

  • @snakes3425 On the extras for the new movie, the producer describe Conan and the Young Warriors as "Mr Conan's Neighbourhood." It's apparently even MORE watered down and kid friendly than the first series, which at least stands up as a solid animated action adventure series.

  • I'm already enjoying the animated Conan the Adventurer! I'm about to get my copy of Season 2 Part 1 real soon. From my point of view this is one of the most underrated toons of the 90's I've never seen until now. I like all the characters on the show, including Needle (I always laugh when he calls Conan "Big Dumb Barbarian"). Wrath-Amon has got to be one of the most scariest animated villains I've ever seen. Not as scary as others like Skeletor and Hordak, if you know what I mean.

  • @DAMGoodEntertainment I know, right? I think people get a bit too hung up on "it's not gritty and violent enough" to see the positives. It's a light, fun action adventure series! Definitely underrated.

  • Sorry, I meant "am I right in thinking".

  • I am right thinking that the bit at 04:39 to 04:49 was meant to be cut out?

  • @obviousgenius101 As you can probably tell in the video, I was contemplating cutting it out at the time, but in the end decided just to leave it in.

  • @Zaranyzerak Alright! I just love noticing things like that.

  • @obviousgenius101 Hey, nothing wrong with being observant! :)

  • Sunbow AND Marvel, why do people keep doing that. :D But still cool little factoid. You should have said Conan The Adventurer A and Conan The Adventurer LA, A=Animated, LA=Live Action. But that's the companies' fault, not you're own obviously. :) Superb review and here's hoping the Conan sets will continue, fingers crossed, so that onan can finally defeat the Scott McNeil voiced Serpentor rip off on DVD. :D

  • Had no idea there was a live action one pretty cool! Great informative stuff for us as always man!

  • @RazMansReality same here i never heard of the live action conan t.v. show the only thing i heard about and seen were the movies and the cartoon show wich was awsome.

  • Nice job on these videos dude.

  • @Zaranyzerak I recommend you check out the following Pakistani horror movies

    (1) The Living Corpse (Zinda Laash)

    (2) Hell's Ground (Zibahkhana)

and a few old Indian horror movies released by Mondo Macabro in Region 1 in three volumes as "The Bollywood Horror Collection Volumes 1, 2 & 3". All three volumes contain 2 movies each. You'll like them. The above 2 Pakistani horror movies have also been released by Mondo Macabro in Region 1. Reply???

  • @Kratos3228 I might just have to check those out some time. Thanks for the recommendation!

  • I like the live action show, its great fun to watch! Here in Denmark they released as a 2 part dvd set, volume 1 & 2 which each set having 3 discs! The funny thing is how they're selling the show on the back of the dvd cover: "Stronger then Hulk, More brutal then He-Man - The Superbarbarian is BACK!!!"

  • @Lauzzy81 LOL! "Let's see how many other strong guy franchises we can reference on the back to try to boost sales..." :) Conan the SUPERBARBARIAN!

  • I always liked the TV show. I used to watch it all the time along with the Mortal Kombat live action series, which I also enjoyed. Interestingly, I think Ralf Moeller and Arnie are close friends in real life, which makes for kind of a fun connection.

  • @Ninkyo893 The Mortal Kombat series needs to come to DVD. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

  • Some of the charcters and writing wa sok on the live action series but it just looked so damned cheap, I couldnt suspend disbelief. I watched some of the animated series online, I prefer that

  • @13evilpriest13 I guess having grown up watching low budget British sci-fi insulated me from dismissing things for looking too cheap. ;) Wobbly cardboard sets forever!

  • @Zaranyzerak well Blakes 7 is my fave scifi show of all time :)

  • that actress who plays sonja in the series is hot. sean would she work for a film of sonja or is Rose Mcgowen still going to play her in the remake or reboot whatever sinse i can"t find to much info on the fate of that project have you heard anything.

  • @KaraLVRogueLZ Honestly, as hot as she was, I wasn't wowed by her performance. As I said in the vid, I think the woman who played the recurring thief character would have been MUCH better. I could maybe see Rose McGowan pulling it off, not sure what that status is on that project though,. Seems to have been in limbo for quite a while...

  • @itsfrank0 Yes, eventually.

  • Gah...sorry about the comments being disabled for a bit there, gang. It seems YouTube's new "Edit Info" thing disables comments by default. WHY!!!!! Anyhoo, should be fine now. Comment away!
