  • Not sure if I got this right.. does the surface somehow represent the electron density in the molecule? What would the "field" otherwise represent?

  • @moijn0002 it's not really a true field. It's just arbitrarily generated so marching cubes has something to generate an isosurface from. It's kind of just another space-fill viewing method.
