  • awesome recording mate. wish i was there ;)

  • I was there. And at Stevenage (Knebworth) on the Dark Side of the Moon tour. This one and Radiohead at Glastonbury 2003 were the best.

  • I was also at this concert. when people ask me what waas the best covcert I ever went to I always reply Pink Floyd Wembley. It was the best. If memory serves me correctly didn't some form of model aeroplane come from the back of the stadium and hit the stage with a ball of light and crezendo of sound?

  • Pink Floyd, Live in Oakland 1977 3-disc 2CD/DVD set available at Tommygun Video - link and more details available on our Youtube channel

  • was there west terrace row h seat 53 price £ 1.65

  • Too bad theier wasn"t more! Floyd is great!

  • he's playin shine on you crazy diamond and that album wasn't even released till like a year later

  • Yeah, a lot of the time Pink Floyd would be playing songs from the next album that was not recorded yet on a current tour. They played songs from the Animals album for years before they ever put it down on record. They introduced Dogs as Raving and Drooling.

  • Dogs was You gotta be crazy at that time

Raving and Drooling became Sheep =)

  • This is absolutely correct. I saw them perform Dark Side of the Moon in Nov 1974 and Wish You Were Here was definitely not released

  • awesome bro, wish i coulda have the privlege to see them

  • I went to this concert and was 15 at the time. It made a mark on me that still exists today.

  • Bet it was quality. lucky you!

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • are you sure? What's your source on that?

  • "Animals".

  • r u 4 real grab an album google it dogs is floyd

  • I was just joking with brokenchair88. look thru the comments on any floyd video on youtube and you'll find his "Pink Floyd wrote Dogd" comment in there somewhere. Not sure why he does it. I posted a reply last night but I don't see it. ...strange.

  • BrokenChair88 should change his/her name to BrokenRecord

  • You have no Idea how much I get that.

  • And they wrote Sheep and Pigs.

  • ga tu madre

  • Oh cool! Gee, I sure wish I knew what you were saying.

  • ingue su!!!!.....ingueeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!...tu si s

  • The November 15 show includes Shine On ,Raving and Drooling and You Gotta Be Crazy but the November 16 show was a BBC broadcast so the sound is much much better.I highly recommend it.

  • My favorite era, Shine On was played in full great early versions of You gotta be crazy and raving and drooling, any one wanna trade stuff?

  • I got this boot itsa mazing!! But i would have to say the Hamilton, Ivor Wynne 75 i believe is the best show ever!

  • Gilmour wrote most of the music, Roger wrote the music (and lyrics) towards the end, the finale.

    Roger wrote all the words...

  • Dumbass, Dave Gilmour wrote dogs in 1976 previously known as "You Gotta Be Crazy", this song and "Raving and Drooling", a Waters song which would later become "Sheep", Snowy White -- lead guitar on "Pigs on the Wing" (8-track cartridge version only)

  • I guess that You gotta be crazy is from 74 or 75....

  • Yes, they begun the writing of "You've Gotta Be Crazy" in 1974, and the 1975 version is not the same version as 1974. It was released as "Dogs" at the "Animals" album in 1977. They played it at concerts in 1974 and '75. It was played at this concert at Empire Pool (later known as Wembley Stadium), November 15 1974.

  • shine on you crazy diamonds... since primitive.....ou magnifique

  • Great Dane released the best version of this. Double CD great sound and very good early version of Dogs.

    Thank you Great Dane

  • damn, i wish it was recorded. i have the bootleg also

  • So amazing, Shine on!!!

  • where do you get these tapes from??

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • What? No, they didn't. Dogs is from 1977.

  • You are completely right, Dogs was mostly written by Gilmour.

  • yes...except for any of the lyrics...which were some of floyds best!

  • fuck you

  • you are a retard

  • Is this the same gig as Black holes in the sky Wembly Nov 16th 2 disc set?

  • Its not the same gig but it is the same series of gigs. I think they played for four consecutive nights at Wembley.

  • yeah, sorry man, I just saw the date at the front, sounds identical though

  • This concert was fantatic. As written by upholland.. they played this for the first time before the album was released. They did several tracks but the most part was from Dark Side. Nick Mason played the drums so wildly that they moved several feet forward during one song, which I can't remember. Not surprising really. :o)

  • yeah just look at the picture @ 23 secs Nick is one the edge of the stage

  • would love to hear the full version of that, think it's different to chrisocony's version.

  • wow man how can you got it?

  • Great stuff! I got to see Roger Waters twice in 2007! Greatest shows of my life, including the final one in 2007 in Toronto!

  • This is amazing. Thank you for posting all your Floyd stuff.

  • I was there.....

  • They toured with 'Shine On' during the autumn of 1974. It was their practice in those days to tour with new music before going to the studio. The other two new pieces on that tour were, 'Raving and Drooling' and 'You Gotta Be Crazy' both of which didn't see a recorded release until the 'Animlas' album as 'Sheep' and 'Dogs' respectively.
