  • SPECULATION! COCONUTS! TOXINS!

    ... horseshit.

  • The "toxin" in the apple seeds you mentioned is also known as Vitamin B17 (Amygdalin) and is in fact VERY healthy. Google it!

  • Awesome!! I cant wait to try Juice Kefir!! My Kefir grains are all ready to go :)

  • What do you mean you can eat the kefir grains.

  • the cyanide is chemically locked in the apple seeds. It will only be unlocked if someone has cancer.then the cyanide will cure the cancer. If a healthy person eats the apple seeds[ b17] will help keep them fit.It will boost there immune system. And help prevent cancer. dave..... dave157157@gmail.com

  • you mentioned that there is something toxic in the apple cores. What toxic substance were you referring to? dave

  • @kundalini555 Cyanide apparently, but you'd need to drink like 5 pounds pf apples apparently..

  • Gates sell some raw coconut water.sorry typeing on my cell.thanks again.

  • good info, I use a ice chest to put my kefir in,same temp year around.Donna Gates. ga

  • She keeps blabbing about nutrients and preservatives for three minutes, so you can just skip to 3:28 for the actual video.

  • You can use milk kefir grains to make water or juice kefir if you don't have water kefir grains.

Start by using pure grape juice like Welch's or other.

I started with about 2 tablespoons of milk kefir grains in a 500ml mason jar filled about 3/4 to 4/5 with grape juice.

I find about 3 to 4 days is optimal. After about 4 days the juice becomes bitter.

  • is kombucha drink the same as kefir drink???

  • @y0b0t : No, kombucha is a type of fermented tea and kefir grains are put into various juices and other liquids.

  • did some one give you a black eye or are you not sleeping well?

  • @lemurianchick, all water kefir has some alcohol content because of the fermented sugars. With that said, it's usually quite low, somewhere between 0.5-2% by volume. The longer it ferments, the more sugar used, the more alcohol it will have. I believe using 100% fruit juice will give the highest alcohol content. Any thoughts Natasha?

  • @tattooyu : What about coconut water, which I am sure is lower in sugar than apple juice?

  • Does anyone know if this contains alcohol since it has been fermented?

  • @lemurianchick it contains very little amounts of alcohol, less than 0.5%. The softest beers have around 5%.

  • I am glad to know about fruit kefir now~ I had only been making dairy kefir! Can't wait to tell my friends!TY

  • As a juice type for kefir, can I mash up bananas with water as well?

Can't wait! My 1st batch is on its way. Feels like my baby is coming home. :)

  • good vid , but your "kefir" pronunciation is wrong

  • I teach fermenting classes and make a lot of kefir. I have heard not to use metal, but I do as an experiment and have had no problems. Also you said not to refrigerate the kefir grains. I do and have had no problems although of course it slows down their activity (which is good for me.. So I am wondering if you have any more info or experiences on why no metal and why no refigeration of the grains. Thanks.

  • Thank u sooo much!P.S. Awsome vids

  • Thanx for the vid! :)

  • you are so awesome, thanks for all the great tip, love your vids!!

  • how do you store the kefir when not in use? i've seen different ways of doing this so i'm not really sure what the best way would be

  • Thanks for the great idea and link.

  • cool! because i've always been like. nooo i wanna drink my coco water! D=

  • (not enough space for all my message below, must add here: I like your videos so much - your are so beautiful, radiant and also very trustworthy (if that is a real word). Thank your for all your great videos, I enjoy them so much! : )

  • Your video is great! I am so inspired. I like especially that you actually drink your apple juice kefir, so we can see that you drink what you have made, and that you also describe what it tastes like. I am not so fond of videos where people make food and then we cannot see that they actually eat it after. But you do, and it is so nice, and makes it all even more inspiring and amazing, and also "real" somehow.

  • About young coconuts, even if they dipped it in some preservative, why would that affect the inside? You can tell if a young coconut is still good and that is if the meat is not pinkish. I have tasted it when it's spoiled and it's apparent.

  • @lemurianchick Because the preservative will get soaked inside the coconut and toxication the meat and juice. It's supposed to make it so it's not spoiled, but it also pollutes your body.

  • @RustyEraser : I just don't believe that a bit. I know how hard a young coconut is! Even if it was dipped in some chemical, it could not possibly seep inside it.

  • @RustyEraser : Sorry but I don't buy that. It's too hard a shell for a chemical to soak thru.

  • Thank you for doing this video. I saw another video on how to make kefir and the person put cloth on top so the kefir could breathe. I've also seen people open up the bottle every day to let out the carbon dioxide. If you left it shut for a long time would it explode?

  • do the kefir grains keep it from developing alcohol?

  • Can you use milk grains to make the apple juice kefir or do you need water grains?

  • Are any preservatives used on the green variety coconuts, the ones without the husk removed or are they considered organic?

  • I like kim Chi, but my wife doesn't like me after I eat it...LOL

  • @paulgem123 That's easy. I'm going to try that . I have that same juicer.

  • i love your channel! your vlogs are so great! So much knowledge. Thank you for sharing!

  • You look really cute today! :)

  • Mmmmmmm! That looks delicious Natasha!!!! =)
