This is not only a blessing for the kids that get the gifts but to those who give. My daughter is 3 and now instead of focusing on what she is getting for Christmas she looks at magazines and says I want to get that for a little girl.

I just made a box for a baby girl and a 5-9 year old girl. This is my favorite christmas tradition. I used to go to up to the warehouse in the Twin Cities, but I havent had a chance to get up there lately :( I want to work for Samaritan Purse

This is a wonderful program that my family has participated in for three years now. My children love to choose gifts for a child their age--and we love to pray for the children who receive them. Thank you Operation Christmas Child for making this wonderful program possible for the glory of King Jesus Christ!

Samaritan's Purse spends a large portion of their donations on Operation Christmas Child, intended to convert young children with specially designed Christian literature and discipleship programs. These don't come cheap to the company. I recommend donating to more efficient charities such as Oxfam and Heiffer International. They do not have evangelical expenses, and they give for the mere sake of giving...not to manipulate young children during their the most vulnerable moments.
