I guess Mr. McGeough would have had no problem if the IRA has gotten its weapons from Israel. Creating a moral equivalence between an Islamofascist terrorist organization like Hamas and Al Qaeda, with democratic nations such as Israel or the US or Britain is what characterizes the lunatic left.
If the US sells arms to Israel, therefore it's perfectly okay for Hamas to get weapons from Iran. Hence if the US sold weapons to the UK, it' was okay for the IRA to get weapons from the USSR.
