Every person who does this uses a "bench" or a mass that they roll it on (his thigh in this case) ultimately applying two points of pressure. Ask a guy to do it without leaning one side of the skillet on an object, he will find it impossible. Anyone can do this with enough practice ala the guy in Stan Lee's Superhumans episode.
