I saw on Craigslist the listing of apartments for rent. I was amazed to see how inexpensive it is to rent a place in Cardiff. It would be nice to live there for a while. It does seem a bit different culturally from England and Scotland. I'd like to learn more about Wales. Any recommendations?
Read the Mabinogion, its a collection of traditional folktales and mythological yarns from Wales. As for a taste of modern Wales, best way is to just go there!
Shame the renewal didn't include the magnificent buildings at mount stuart square. Instead we have two mildly interesting architectural structures, and the vision of horror that is mermaid quay, with a view over industrial warehouses at the port. Yeah the Bay is such a great place (not.)
I am interested in the positive discussions here sorry but im very negative. Im a docks boy not the bay. These pictures just show very modern buildings their is no romance their. A lot of people of Cardiff hate the bay and what it stands for they have desroyed local comunitys and local wildlife nice song though
A beautiful song and lovely pics of my favourite bit of Wales but if you listen it is a very sad song. Perhaps a little less of Cardiff Bay buildings and a little more of father-son relationships may have conveyed the meaning of this song a bit better. It is not a travelogue.
I've taken my little girl down to Cardiff Bay so many Sunday afternoons and as I listen to this song I see her smile in the late summer sun as we walk over the barrage and watch the boats come in and out through the big sea locks. cheekymayo - I saw him at a coffee house in Ferndale, MI for free with about 30 other people and had chance to chat him up after the show. It was incredible to see him interact with the people in attendance. I'd pay $250 for the chance to have that show again! He is incredible.
