To be most frank, I have never read about Hideaki Anno saying that there is "no meaning" in his vision. And as a creator and scriptwriter myself I find it difficult to believe that plot that complex with such believable, close to real people characters have "no meaning" to its creator. Anno once stated that Evangelion is "his life, his life itself". There is a meaning to it, I'm sure you will agree.

However, what I am sure Hideaki Anno did say is that there is no single solution to the mysterious plot and vision he has created. If Evangelion is as potent to interpretation as single poem can be, it definitely has meaning but it can be seen by different people in completely different ways. I don't really think that it matters what Shinji did or didn't, or what Rei was or not. There is something to learn about life from it and that's the most precious part of this "for kids" anime

very good,but i think the guitar over-did it a little too much. it just dousnt sound the same without the great piano piece in there.the guitar dround it out,but its still very well done and i like it.i think that if they did it in a faster tempo,toned down the guitar and amped up the piano from the original opening then they would have a song almost equal to the original or a great alternative.That said,it still is a wonderful remake. i really like the singing too,sounds like rei
