His name is Craig Ferguson, a man who takes Graham Norton's plush anarchic format, beats it down using a hand puppet with a stick, throws it into a narrow, poorly lit blender, digests it, and finally vomits it out with passion for close to an hour.

He does five shows worth of this every week. A feat I highly doubt J Ross manage over the same near-perrenial scale. U should search 4 his monologues on here

If you mean that most talk show hosts are over-reverant to any single guest they recieve, or at least to most, then I mostly agree with you. But it isn't their job to be the critic.
