I always admired that Penhall, despite being sited as a dangerous rider by several competitors, conducted himself with dignity. It seems that dumping speedway in favour of an acting career that tanked, has made him bitter enough to surrender that dignity and bitch in the most embarrassing and immature way about Carter.

Everything Penhall said was the truth. They were rivals Bruce didnt have to like kenny and he didnt for what ever reason. What ever kenny did in his personal life was between kenny and his family the law and GOD. Fact is Bruce beat kenny! Just like bruce said he didnt leave him any room, and didnt have to. i did not work with him i was a tigers supporter from the age of 12 , l met many of the riders over the years and bruce was the best , he had a lovely personality was great with supporters was a magical rider always worth watching and and a star .He always had time for people and was never up his own ass like many , He never forgot anyone who supported him and it broke his heart the way supporters behaved towards him after the world final , speedway has never been the same since he left.

bruce penhall, twice world champion, intercontinental champion and one of the nicest gentlemen the sport as seen. kenny carter, NO WORLD TITLE'S NO INTERCONTINENTAL TITLES AND NO FRIENDS IN SPEEDWAY who then after losing form and realising he would not win anything of importance in the sport again, murdered his wife and then shot himself. two children are orphaned and their familes are left to pick up the pieces. Bruce Penhall was given everything he had including the world title, the ref himself admitted afterwards that he had made the wrong decision, if Bruce had kept his opinions to himself instead of making himself out to be a knob, far more people would have respected him regardless of who won, kenny worked hard for what he got wasn't given it like a spoilt little boy Bruce is,yes what happened happened and yes he was a troubled man but twice the man Bruce up his own spoilt arse penhall will ever be

Don't make me laugh! Kenny Carter was bank rolled by his father as was his brother Alan. Bruce Penhall was given a second hand Weslake, bought off Mike Bast and then after impressing promoters in the us was given the money to fly over to the uk to compete in the 1977 intercontinenel final. after impessing in uk 2nd halfs was chassed by a dozen clubs, Halifax being at the front of the queue before signing for Cradley. I used to race at Ellesmere Port Speedway when Kenny started, he stuggled like the rest of us! if he was "bank rolled" why did I have to go back to my house to give him a primary chain so he could continue racing that day, he was a talent albeit a hot headed talent, I was on the center green when he collided with Stuart Shirley and I saw him die at my feet, this had a profound affect on Kenny and the rest of us as riders, if you have never rode? don't mock what you don't know!

PART TWO:- The money for the air fare and second hand bike were taken from a trust fund set up after both parents were lost. This was the only money bruce ever borrowed to fund his career. So therefore was not given everything he won it fare and square. Tore Kitlesson has always maintained the decision he made in LA was correct and after watching the replay i agree.
