Idiot, youtube converts your file. I found better and smaller in a few tries. You suffer this uploading time and rendering time. Good luck finding it out. I'll give you a hint, it was one of the first to use when Sony Vegas Pro is installed. Just custom it to quality.

Best quality on YouTube? Nope, seen much better. My monitor is 1920 x 1080 and I watched this video in full HD 1080p full-screen, it's easy so see that the quality is messy. I've been hunting the Perfect settings for like 2 years now and still haven't found them for Sony Vegas. However, I've seen perfect sharpness in one video here on YouTube, you must watch in 480p and expanded (larger) window. (not my video).

You should take 1920x1080 (1080p) and not 1440x1080.

Real 1080p is 1920x1080.

And PLS NOT the VLC Player ...

It has a very slow h.264 decoder.

It wouldnt wonder me if it is slow with m2ts also.

Use ffdshow, ac3filter and haali matroska splitter and a normal directshow player which uses not his own codecs and then you'll see how fast h.264/x264 can run ;-) you can download these 3 from codecs . com

Camtasia is a very very great program with a great lossless codec (Techsmith)

This is very helpful. My video turned out in fantastic quality, but for some reason it has this strange rainbow-y effect during some parts... I'm not sure how to explain...

My father had also the vlc and its bad h.264 decoder made on his older pc on 720p videos a diashow, while with wmp11 & ffdshow, ac3filter & haali matroska splitter codecs installed it runs for him on 1080p with sometimes a very light stuttering. VLC is a bad player. Only because it has its own codecs and can play due to this much formats it doesnt make this automatically a good player !!!

Personally I use DivX and Sony Vegas Pro 9.0c. Yes, I did purchase it with money, not illegally download and crack a $600 program. For those reading this that did that, it's not a good thing to have on your computer ;) ANYWAY. Yes, if you use DivX, then you just have to select 1080p HD profile. :)

There is nothing better than 1080p. x264 might have a more user-friendly structure to it, but 1080p is 1080p, the clearest definition there is. If you were to set up x264 and DivX on the same computer, recording the same thing, in a 1080p HD profile, it would have the same clarity.

If you want HD, it'll have to be pretty large. Yes, large is what she said :P. Ok, well I suggest not rendering it that way. I do "Render as" Then I render it as 1080p HD. Just look around, it's all the way at the bottom of the drop down menu.
