this was probably made before the wii come out. i guess the developers made this because they expected the wii to be stronger. this demo does not use motion controller, so this is probably made to show the possibilities of the game. why did they scrap destructible terrain? probably to keep it more child friendly or cause of a low budget. they probably lost a lot of time animating a total of more than 500 sprites (including alternates), but this could have been better

this is what battle rev. was suposed to look like, however due to the more goreish, violent nature of certain attacks the makers scrapped the idea because they didn't want the game to get a Teen ESRB rating. So they created a sugnificantly more dull and simple version of the game. Perhaps they will make a better game using the old ideas portrayed in this video.

WHY DID THEY REMOVE IT?!? and when the pokemon faint, it is interesting to see how they stay on the ground for a while before going back to their pokeballs rather than going back when they are just hit.
