I repeat-they have NO SAY in where they are deployed, furthermore Iraq and Afghanistan are not the only places troops can be sent. They are sent to monitor the North/South Korean border, aid the humanitarian efforts in the Sudan or perform peacekeeping duties in the Lebanon. They don't join because they wanted to go to Iraq or Afghanistan, they join because they want to be part of the armed services, wherever that will take them, whatever the risks. Not a stupid decision, but a brave one.

We are proud of the sacrifices they have made for our country. Like you my brother has a wife and a two year old son and it is especially difficult for them, but this is his calling and everyone understands that and support him fully.
