Command Grab -> Hard Punch -> dragon kick, rekeken specials or Super Combo

With a turbo function, the hard punch after the command grab is virtually unavoidable and against PLENTY of characters you can drain like aprox. 1/4 of their bar with an EX Dragon Kick; a strong ass 4-hit combo.

Try to command grab after a cross up -- blocked or not--.

Flying Hard Kick -> Hard Punch -> EX Dragon Kick is vicious too if you get the opportunity.

Focus Attack LV2/3 -> dash forward into Ultra.

Ok. Gimpy you're probably never going to read this, but I'm going to give some constructive advice.

#1: someone already said it but u jump too much. stand ur ground, if they jump at u: jump straight up and do air-hk splits kick or qcb kick.

#2: chicwing combos into hp which combos into the qcf punches. so even if they block the chicwing, do: chicwing, hp, qcf p, qcf p. Then u have time to back away. Im pretty sure one of fei's challenges has u combo chicwing to hp to qcf's, so master that.

Great Bison indeed. Very aggressive though. Besides the fact that it seemed like Bison's pressure effected your game pretty much, good job. I'd say, defend (camp durr) more and go for grabs against this guy.

I hate SFIV. I went to the very first tournament in my city that wasn't a football tourney, and it was to go to EVO also. Of course some were good, but even the winners said I was better than them. All in all, I lost in the first match against my friend and 3 other friends also lost, why???, because we all ended up using the BROKEN controller. It was against the rules to bring our own also.

Nothing like hating something over something else that couldn't be conrolled.

course im only speaking from a personal opinion.. but they really made him a lot easier to play this time around. also his damage output is so devastating.

also you should try inputting more of the Focus attacks. I wouldn't say a lot but i'd say maybe 35-45% of sf4 sort of revolves around focus attacks/focus canceling etc.

I disagree with you. Smash is a great game that requires skills and a strong ming game to win. You can't just button smash anywhere and win. You probably never played this game or you played it and you sucked at it and you're frustrated at it. A game that you have to choose between multiple characters with different abilities and to choose a stage to fight on? This seems like Smash to me. What makes smash different is the creative thought process behind it. I don't hate Sakurai or the games he made but he made them a certain way that I as a consumer can only respect. Not to disrespect the smash tournament scene in any way but Nintendo doesn't even notice the competitive scene. Capcom on the other hand goes out of their way to find sponsors or even pay themselves to keep EVO afloat. Sakurai spoke on this in several interviews that I'm pretty sure everyone here has read.

Also, there are many things in smash bros (items, stages, etc) that were put in there that the tournament community refuses to allow or even respect.

In other words items, and certain stages are banned in competitive smash. Street Fighter is a great example of this. Here is a question for everyone, would you play a game of street fighter without using a psycho crusher, hadoken, or flash kick, even though the developers intended for you to use it and its naturally apart of the game?

I also dislike the fact that Sakurai does not try to make the game competitive, quite the opposite really. However, I do not agree that this rules out Smash as a fighting game. True, you don't play with items in a tournament, but you don't play zombie mode in a halo tournament, that is just for fun. This does not mean that Halo is not a shooter , just because there are elements in it for casual gamers only. The fact that you can turn off items in smash bros lends itself to my argument.

...how the FUCK that guy playing with bison uses the charge moves(like the front flip kick thing) so fast! teh only way for me to do it is holding the direction for like 2 seconds, so how can u use those moves so fast, like at the moment the game starts? is there a fast load technique or wutever?

you can charge while doing other things

you can charge just after you start jumping you can charge while attacking you can charge while being attacked you can even charge during the game load screen

so as soon as he does that "front flip kick thing" he holds back again - and after the move is done it's almost been fully charged again so he can do it almost immediately

Need to grab more Gimpy, you would've had him in the 2nd match if you attempted to grab, when you were pressuring him at the end. Be careful on spamming your ultra like that too. That's like you saying "Free Shots!"

i think u can cancel the fire feet shoryuken thing and combo it into ultra but u gota have gud timing at hitting the guy so the whole ultra can hit and if ur willing to sacrifice ur 4 ex bars things super is a whole much easier to combo and has tons of combos

you can land a couple of the hits of the ultra but its pretty much a waste of your revenge meter unless its going to kill them - you can do almost as much damage as that with your chicken wing out of that

but me being new i tend to not even try that stuff - at least not until i get more comfortable with it.

Fei got toned down. Chicken Wing isn't isnt that good any more, Rekka isn't safe, not even good for chip damage. Can't combo into ultra... *sigh* Well, Off to Ken/Guile!

fei long can only combo into ultra with focus attack or a very very deep heavy kick with no hit confirm - the only "reliable" way is focus attack

i just made a mistake - i thought he was doing a different attack than he was lol

i chicken wing to much already - it's just way to punishable - it's only really safe on block if you only land the last hit - and it has odd hitboxes so things can outprioritize it easily =(

i dont really know my safe block strings so i'll either go in with crossups for a grab do a fierce punch -> rekka combo or just do some light punches/kicks into med kick to keep my opponent from punishing my approach
