@strikerxk7 I was born in and currently live in Alberta already you fucking moron, I think I have enough first-hand experience with how godawful the weather is. Nowhere can possibly be more boring than it is here, being a drunk bandwagoning hockey fan and playing cowboy dressup in July is the pinnacle of 'culture' in this next of the woods.
@strikerxk7 You're in ALBERTA and you're quoting bad weather as a reason you moved? I don't know where the heck you are but the weather in Calgary blows chunks.
brrrr! mexican living in Vancouver Island and is waaaay too cold, snow belong to the mtns and the ice in my margaritas while wearing as little as possible...
actually, last year we had quite the storm, we couldn't go to school or work for at least 10 days, thas is as much winter as i want to experience thank you very much!
Haha, that's funny. I was working in Purdy's Wharf Tower 1 (The tall glass building on the right) when this storm hit. Took me 2 friggin hours to get home, 1hr and 45 minutes of that just to get to my Van which I had parked in Dartmouth, after that it was smooth sailing because I wasn't stuck relying on the busses.
Had to walk across the bridge because my bus got stuck. What a shitty day. I fuckin hate Winter, and here in Halifax it lasts like 13 months.
Yes.... yes it does :) Last year we had LOTS of snow! Never really noticed until I bought my car, now shovelling the driveway, and cleaning off my car is a sad reminder
Wow i actually remeber that day it was so cold.. spent the nite with my freids making snowangles in the middle of the street aha .. ( and to the person below my comment : MY STEP DADS A BUS DRIVER TOO!! XD )
That day was crazy, my bus got caught and started to jack knife down bayers road. I eventually got off the bus and walked. A friend of mine ended up staying on that bus for 9 hours to get home!
That snowstorm was great. I was lucky enough to have to deal with the traffic around 7 or 8 that night...when it was a solid traffic jam from downtown Halifax all the way to my street in Woodlawn, in Dartmouth :\ I just missed that articulated bus that jack-knifed downtown and caused TOTAL mayhem!!
Yea that was a bad day. I remember taking a long time to get home after work. People were getting their cars stuck because they didn't have winter tires and then abandoning them in the middle of the street.
Thanks so much! I moved to Seattle from Halifax two years ago - wish there were more videos on YouTube to remind me of home! BTW: in Seattle if they get an inch of snow everyone panics and clogs the freeways. It's hilarious.
Dude looks like he's trying to catch someones batch. Open wide ugly!

Snow when it first falls in Halifax is something that I find amazingly beautiful.
But then all the cars drive through it and it turns into slush and gross brown/dirty junk and I hate it. ):

It all depend on the particular year. Some years are worse than others, like hurricane season.

That's an awesome video. I remember this day. I was supposed to be off work at 3 o'clock...didn't make it home till 7:30.
Not bad considering some people didn't make it home until ten or eleven.
