  • claire danes is gorgeous ever since romeo and juliet no wonder leo fell for her lol and i had no idea she was such a great singer too

  • Buddyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • her voice is amazing! Not too Whitney houston ,not too kate bush .In the middle.

Just a few can sounds so perfect ,I LOVE IT

  • i love how merryl streep is in two movies with this song ^^ Evening and Julie and Julia! I love her and i love this song! yay!

  • tetszik a vidi én egy manában olvastam erről a zenről és furcsa hogy ott is megvan köcce a feltételért.

  • wow, she sounds lovely!!! Love the duet as well!!!!! Meryl Streep's daughter looks quite a lot like her... to an extent...

  • her voice is like an angel!

  • Claire Danes blows aways any other singer whether it be Liza Minnelli, Frank Sinatra, Michael Feinstein with this song. The clarity and pitch of her voice is as if it were an musical instrument. This gal can really sing besides act. What a talent!!!!

  • what movie is this from?

  • @mmmoor09

    "Evening" LOVE that movie.

  • i cant help but think of claire danes face on the other side of a fishtank everytime i see her

  • @Invisiblefiyah yes. or in an angel costume looking down from her balcony at the pool. there are actually a lot of water images in that movie...

  • am I the only one who really wants her to play Fantine in the Les Miserables movie? xx

  • @TheCherryBomber1 Yes, yes you are... She may be able to "carry a tune" but she is not a skilled singer. I mean no offense to the actress, but she should stick to acting... She does NOT have a TRAINED voice... a TRAINED singing voice is required for Les Mis. She would be an utter train wretch in something like Les Mis. I don't know how you can't hear all her intonation problems and weird vowel shapes... SHE CAN NOT SING! A Les Mis musical movie with her would be a failure of the largest order

  • @TheCherryBomber1 She has no vibrato... had she taken voice lessons as a kid and into adulthood she may have had the ability, but she didn't and she has the vocal ability of your average junior high school choir kid... I love Ms. Daines as an actress and her singing was fine in the context of this film, but in an all music musical, you have to have people who can really sing or else it is a failure (see Phantom in 2004 and Evita in 1996 as examples of what not to do)

  • a terrific song and a beautiful setting as well,,,,it fits the song perfectly ,,,elegant and beautiful

  • This is a fantastically sweet movie she does very well when singing.

  • Patrick Wilson, is, in fact a Tony award winning actor and can sing and dance.

  • Loveliest rendition I have ever heard.

  • Yeah! And she ended up marrying him-in real life.

  • one of my favorites great song great movie

  • Awesome movie and excelente cover! I love it.

  • he still remembers their stars...aww i wanted them to be together. :(

  • GTFO stage dude. -___-

  • Yo me habría quedado con Buddy... Tenía mejor plática.... I <3 buddy

  • Lindo, lindo , lindo!

    Amei a música, a cena...

    Perfeito!

  • beautiful

  • Great song. 100 times better than Cyndi Lauper's same title one.

  • i think the song is so beautiful but it's way too hard to find the original on youtube. some artist should cover it so that it'd be famous again. and it's worth it!

  • Müthiş ! Perfect .

  • Is this song available from ITunes?? She sings it so well. Is the name of the song Time After Time?

  • the guy ruined the scene

  • @MJisAnutcase that's patrick wilson!!! he could never ruin anything.

  • Oh.... I love this movie, makes me sad but i still love it!!!

  • Claire Danes is singing in the movie Evening (2007)

  • What good are words I say to you? They cant convey to you whats in my heart If you could hear instead The things Ive left unsaid Time after time I tell myself that im So lucky to be loving you So lucky to be The one you run to see In the evening, when the day is through I only know what I know The passing years will show Youve kept my love so young, so new And time after time Youll hear me say that im So lucky to be loving you
  • Thanks! great song!

  • yes indeed.... it;s her own voice.

  • thank you for posting. I've been looking for this clip for ages.

  • which is the name of the movie ?

  • The movie is called Evening.

  • The movie is called Evening..

  • I love this song...& I dare say that this is the best version I've found so far

  • some of you say you don't like his singing, but ive heard him sing (elsewhere) where he sounded really good. A scene later in the movie, his character does say that Ann sung beautifully, and that he hit most of the notes. He wasn't meant to sound spectacular (but he can if i tried, i can assure you).

  • He play Raoul in the Phantom of the Opera and there you can see his singing skills clearly.

  • Daniela my angel, this is and always will be the song that makes me feel YOU..thanks for being part of my life.

  • This is such a beautifully romantic ballad. And this is a simply exquisite version....VERY enjoyable....THANK YOU for sharing it with us! :)

  • I love this song and it's sung beautifully here, thank you for posting

  • thanks for uploading. i love this song, and i love the way she sang it. =)

  • I love this movie and her, even I can't tell why.

  • a beautiful movie and she is lovely and a sweet singer, just great!

  • Really enjoyed this song, just as I enjoyed this movie. Claire Danes has a wonderful voice. Thanks for posting it.

  • again, the dude ruined it. dumbass

  • bought the soundtrack and this song was not on it!!! It made me crazy and was useless.

  • Love this song and the movie.

  • i cant find any web to download this song by claire, someone can show me???????plz, thanks i really love this song so much, espcially by Claire

  • dude if you have real player you can just right click and download. btw realplayer is free just google it and download it if you dont have it

  • Rod Stewart didn't do this originally. It was originally done by Frank Sinatra and Kathryn Grayson in the 1947 (?) film "It Happened in Brooklyn." Rod Stewart didn't record it til recently in like 2003, and about fifty artists recorded it before he did.

  • This is one of my favorite movies, and one of my favorite songs. I love it!

  • thank Kitkat4005 & damnmira for the text ^.^

  • lewis or luis runied this scene,i hate that guy!

  • harris^^

  • WOW....those aren't the words AT ALL

What good are words i say to you,

    they can't convey to you

    what's in my heart

    If you could hear instead

    the things i've left unsaid

  • they are...

  • I love this song. I thing she does much better the rod stewart did origionally. I'm a sucker for old timey music.

  • what good a words I say to you

    they counting day to you

what's in my heart, if you could hear instead

    the thing I have unsaid

  • i love the song !

i wanna knw who sang it originally ?

and where can i find it ?

i was searching for too long with no use..

  • rod stewart. this version is better though. in my opinion atleast.

  • anyone can tell me the lyric of the very first part, i cant find it :(

  • what good a words I say to you

    they counting day to you

what's in my heart, if you could hear instead

    the thing I have unsaid

  • anyone know where i can find sheet music for this?

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie! Get a stack of kleenex and a big glass of wine before watching it. So good.

  • this song was so beautiful. thank you for posting this.

  • I never knew how good her voice was until i saw this movie

  • I watch this video over and over, her voice is so beautiful and when he goes up there, my heart melted!

  • great song, movie and book...just luv it so mucho

  • what book is this movie based on?

  • It's based on the Susan Minot book of the same name. It's a great read, very easy to get through quickly but very beautifully in depth.

I love Claire Danes in this scene. For someone with virtually no singing experience, she sounds wonderful. Very tender and natural.

  • I totally agree with you, I didn't know she could sing this beautiful, yet very simple.

  • i really like this version! :)

wonder if any one has a copy??? :)))

  • Thank you for sharing this wonderful song

  • buddy. is. awesome.

  • I loved Buddy. He was my favorite. "What if we could just sing and dance the rest of our lives?" that was beautiful.

  • @yourahoe1 he's one of me favorite actors.

And this is such a great version of this song. So beautiful.

  • I thought this moment was so perfect. I cant even describe the feeling I felt when he got up there with her and started singing.

  • Buddy was not gay, he loved Anne. He only kissed Harris because he was drunk and he had just caught them kissing each other (Anne and Harris) and he was heartbroken and his emotions were all messed up. The kiss meant nothing...I did not pick up the vibe that Buddy was gay at all. He had been in love with Anne for years....as was told by the note he carried around in his pocket for years that she had wrote him in college.

  • You should watch the movie again, then.

Buddy says with every words that he had a crush on Harris and that he didn´t even knew who to be jealous of (Anne or Harris).

It is just as Anne says: he criated an ideal of her. Probably not to have to admit his true fellings.

  • thanks a lot for those explanations!

  • Oh, thanks a lot!

  • I did not really get the movie , u know the guy that was gay, I think he loves the singer (I don't remember her neme). And why the movie's name was Evening???

  • Because it was about a woman reflecting on her youth during the "evening" of her life.

  • Watch the movie trailer.

  • Buddy grew up with Ann, and he's known he was gay for a long time, and he saw marrying her as a way to escape from it.

  • i did it once w my ex. =~

  • I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SCENE!! Claire can sing very well!

  • Comment removed

  • i love this version! i didn't know it was claire danes until i saw the movie, and of the versions that i've heard this is the best..that in my opinion i like the best,i'm just wondering where can i find it as a studio recording to be able to hear it as a single so please if someone knows let me know!

    thank you very much!

  • beautiful version of this song

  • Can I know who's the original singer?

  • There are many versions.

Its originally by Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn. But Frank Sinatra and Anita O'Day also sing it.

So there you go :) :)

  • Love Claire Danes' voice, she is incredible. Also love her singing the little lullaby at the end of the movie, I see the Moon. It's SO sweet.

  • I really like this movie. Thanks for posting

  • I love this movie, I just wish more people knew about it so it was easier to find

    best song though :]]

    frank sinatra = love

  • awkward.....

y does he start dancing with her?

  • @hobo2bobo Because Harris knows that he's the boy that everyone loves, and he wants to woo Anne a little.

  • What a great voice! She should sing more.

  • i love this movie

  • Yes it is her real voice because on the film 'Evening' if you look at the songs at the end it says performed by Claire Danes. :) x

  • is this her voice??

  • nagyon köszi hogy feltetted a régi verziót letörölték, annyira szomorú voltam miatta...nagyon örülök hogy megint fent van:)

    immádom!!:)

  • i adore this song

    its beautiful

  • Time after time

    I tell myself that I'm

So lucky to be loving you

So lucky to be the one you run to see

In the evening, when the day is through

I only know what I know

    The passing years will show

You've kept my love so young, so new

And time after time, you'll hear me say that I'm

So lucky to be loving you...

  • wow! she has a beautiful voice!

  • Very cool movie! since I watched it, I m searching for its audio and unable to find this one. :(

  • Anyone with an idea to get audio of this song. plzz :)

  • Try running RCA jacks from the DVD player to a tape machine.

  • @stewdoran Thank you. :-)

  • I adore the Evening!It so fine!

Imádom az Estét!Annyira árnyalt és finom!

  • This movie was a must see.Runs the full gammit of emotions, so have lots of kleenex nearby.Definately a "chic flic", but okay for some of us "sensitive type" guys. If you've ever been in love, even for a day, a year,or a lifetime, see it. Thanks again for posting this.

  • The bit she sings in seconds 50-60 gets me everytime; her voice is so sincere and beautiful.

  • Oh my god, the whole time I was watching this movie I thought that Patrick Wilson looked like a younger version of Kevin Costner... I think Patrick Wilson should play Kevin Costner if they ever needed a younger version of Kevin =)

  • fav movie ever!!!

  • For someone who hasn't had much vocal training, Claire sounds fantastic! The song is simple but so appropriate. I love this scene.

  • i love this movie!

  • This video is great. This actress is stunning and her version of this classic is wonderful. I ordered the DVD of the movie just from your video. I enjoy this romance. Thanks for posting.

  • this movie made me cry :( i always love Clare Danes

  • great movie.

  • sorry, his name was harris, not harry

  • loved this movie too. i read though that the movie wasn't a true adaptation of the novel. in the novel,, harry was actually a selfish, womanizer who had no intent of marrying claire danes in the first place. claire danes' character was presented as a person who was obsessed with harry (she was married 3x i think and all marriages failed due in part because of her obsession with harry)

  • I don't understand why newspaper critics said this movie is no good? I watch this film and find myself drawn to her talent and genuiness of the plot

  • i love the movie and loved this song as well :)

  • I agree too! The movie was very touching and Claire Danes is awesome. She also done an excellent job in the movie Brokedown Palace.

  • Me too.I watched this movie about tow days ago.

After watching I didnt change the channel just want to see this movie again.

    Really touching.

And I have no idea that Claire Danes can sing so well.

    She is really beautifull.............NICE!

The movie makes me keep thinking and thinking how we can live a life that never have to regret.

    Touching !!!

  • ya! i agree with you.

this movie really really very touching!!

  • I have watched this movie yesterday.

    Very touching. T_T

This is a great movie i had never ever wacth before.

The song in the movie is great too.^^

  • I can't find it either! It's not even on the Evening soundtrack, it's an Ella Fitzgerald version. Beautiful song though!

  • Imádom ezt a jelenetet. Meg az egész filmet.

I adore this scene and the whole movie, too.

  • i love this song but i cant find this version anywhere!
