When I was 14 I had to sing this song in a mormon church my mom made us go to for about a month. I felt bad singing it because I had lost all my faith about 10 years before then, but I didn't have a choice, I was in the closet so to say. I still feel bad just from singing it, but for some reason I do still like this song.
@snotface7 I was just starting to meditate on 21/12/2010 and I sunddenly see a ball of light which turned into a worm hole tunnel, then the tunnel came in close & I could see an Angel with rainbow coloured wings flying very slowly towards me,as it fadded, I could see clouds, it was like I was seeing into another world. I love this song I am so glad I found this video the pictures made it more spirtual to me. It shows us that no matter tough times were going through Jesus is always with us and Angels. I have been in actvive in the church for about 8 months or so and I have been saying I need to go back I haven't been happy at all in the last 8 months at all and i'm so happy that I ran into this video it brought me peace and as of tomorrow I am going to church thank you uploader :)
Beautiful voice, however I personally believe the instruments are far too heavy for this hymn. I always imagined it as a gentle, pleading type piece, and the electric guitar and rock feel took away a lot of the peacefulness for me. However that's completely my opinion, to each his own. :)

At one time in my life, I lived in complete, total, utter darkness. I was hopeless, fearful, depressed, sad, despondent, even suicidal. In my early 30s I found the Church. I had been working on improving my self-esteem and happiness. But only through the Holy Ghost was I given the true power to speak the truth. I never even had the strength or confidence to speak, now I speak every week lecturing, speaking, coaching, helping others to gain Light. Practice overcoming, it will come.

Believing in God gives us hope to something better and greater than us all. We believe off of faith, and through faith we don't need real hard proof, what we need is to follow our feelings and our experiences, and through that, we believe that God and his begotton son do exist.
if we are, then it's up to us to find our greatest potential, and in doing so, we need to rely on the Lord to guide us and to help us become all that we want to be.
If you don't believe in God it is a personal choice and thats fine. But please don't waste your time getting online to dis others personal likes or beliefs. If you think its only up to you, thats fine too, just go do something with your life to greaten your potential and stop wasting time. God is our life because we know we need him. There's no need to try to set people free from anything, we live in the land of the free and a option in religion. I've been a convert into the lds church for two years now. The only in my family. I've been to many churchs and this is by far a very productive and helping church. I think you need to do some research to know what good this church or any other church does.

For me bearing the guilt and shame and fear of religion during my parent's divorce, my grandmother;s death, my best friend's death, my move from germany to arizona and then from arizona to oklahoma, etc was too much to handle and my faith was forever shattered at 4-5 years old, but it does help some people so I wouldn't speak against it unless they try to force their religion or part of it on others, like banning gay marriage or differing religions.

Its hard to tell why I believe in God, I think its that people need something they can go to that has more power then a human being. Even if God should not exist, the power that believing gives people has done so much, it keeps people alive. I think a lot of people believe in God because it is easier to blame him, if you don't believe in him you can't blame him.
I believe for many reasons, but I know, existing or not, he has a lot of power.

I'm having a hard time letting god be even in my life, he took my Dad and now he's taken one of my few friend's Dad's too. It's hurting having 2 of us, after hearing they'd lost their Dad it's made me losing my own Dad hard again. I just can't let him in.
If trials only manifested themselves in wicked peoples' lives, nobody would be wicked, and that would defeat the whole purpose, wouldn't it? You just have to remember that although it may be hard to put faith in God because of these events, know that it's only by faith that you can overcome the sorrow.
God knows you better than you know yourself, remember that. He will NEVER, EVER put you through something he knows you won't be able to get through. Hardships in life are to be seen as advantages to make you stronger. Now's the time when you should be strengthening your relationship with Heavenly Father instead of shutting him out. He's the only one that knows what you need to get through these tough times. I'm sorry for your loss, and my prayers are with you.
I testify to you that through Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, all is possible. God loves you, and knows who you are personally. I know it sounds cliche, but it's true. Have faith and he WILL bless you. You are in his hands, he's not going anywhere.

Believing in God gives us hope to something better and greater than us all. We believe off of faith, and through faith we don't need real hard proof, what we need is to follow our feelings and our experiences, and through that, we believe that God and his begotton son do exist.

If you don't believe in God it is a personal choice and thats fine. But please don't waste your time getting online to dis others personal likes or beliefs. If you think its only up to you, thats fine too, just go do something with your life to greaten your potential and stop wasting time. God is our life because we know we need him. He gives us strength. Take the time to pray. Be serious and honest and I promise you will feel the spirit telling you the truth.

@passion1029 I'm sorry. I just want to set people free from the ordeal of belief. If a true and just god does exist, then it will see that a good person deserves reward regardless of spiritual orientation. Assuming this, it really makes no sense to waste time on prayer and religious service that could be better spent on productive activities.

@badam104172 I think ur missing the whole point of my comment, again personal choice if you don't believe you don't have to. There's no need to try to set people free from anything, we live in the land of the free and a option in religion. I've been a convert into the lds church for two years now. The only in my family. I've been to many churchs and this is by far a very productive and helping church. I think you need to do some research to know what good this church or any other church does.

For me bearing the guilt and shame and fear of religion during my parent's divorce, my grandmother;s death, my best friend's death, my move from germany to arizona and then from arizona to oklahoma, etc was too much to handle and my faith was forever shattered at 4-5 years old, but it does help some people so I wouldn't speak against it unless they try to force their religion or part of it on others, like banning gay marriage or differing religions.

@badam104172 would you agree that without a goal we are less likely to become anything great? lets say we dont actually KNOW God exists because we cant see Him (setting aside feelings) any life full of hope and the goal of returning to a better place with our family will lead us to acheive a fulfilled, happy life that was always oriented, never lost. i feel bad for those that have no such light in their lives, for whatever the reason. even if we dont actually KNOW from not seeing, im happy.

@snotface7 I do think it is worth a serious response.
Its hard to tell why I believe in God, I think its that people need something they can go to that has more power then a human being. Even if God should not exist, the power that believing gives people has done so much, it keeps people alive. I think a lot of people believe in God because it is easier to blame him, if you don't believe in him you can't blame him.
I believe for many reasons, but I know, existing or not, he has a lot of power.

@IMDESTROYEROFWORLDS- Nah, that's no loaded question, it is answered with extreme ease. We believe in God and his Word because we have received personal, divine witness from the Holy Ghost. That is, of course, the only way to receive proof of God.

I'm having a hard time letting god be even in my life, he took my Dad and now he's taken one of my few friend's Dad's too. It's hurting having 2 of us, after hearing they'd lost their Dad it's made me losing my own Dad hard again. I just can't let him in.

If trials only manifested themselves in wicked peoples' lives, nobody would be wicked, and that would defeat the whole purpose, wouldn't it? You just have to remember that although it may be hard to put faith in God because of these events, know that it's only by faith that you can overcome the sorrow.

God knows you better than you know yourself, remember that. He will NEVER, EVER put you through something he knows you won't be able to get through. Hardships in life are to be seen as advantages to make you stronger. Now's the time when you should be strengthening your relationship with Heavenly Father instead of shutting him out. He's the only one that knows what you need to get through these tough times. I'm sorry for your loss, and my prayers are with you.
