  • i have a question i am from the philippines any tips for keeping my xbox ventilated cuz im having an elite next week any tips to ventilate it well without using air conditioner etc...

  • thx for the helpfull tips dude you helped me alot. since i read ur tips and my xbox is fuctioning miraculously

  • My xbox has been going strong for 2 1/2 years now with no precausionary checking or cleaning admittedly I got rrod last week but 2-3 years is good for any console.

  • @willsgotbeer Dude I have a NES that got dropped down the stairs, is always covered in dust, had a drink split on it nd got stepped on by my fat friend and it's still working 10 Years later. If 80's tech can last that long then 2-3 years for 21st century tech is not long enough quit lying to yourself.

  • xbox is better in horizontal position...secondly put adaptor in open space and keep the adaptor clean...play it only for 3-4 hours a day..,wait for about 15 minutes before turn off the xbox.its too make sure that the console is cool enough and not overheat it when you turn it off...hope this help xbox gamers stop the rrod problem..any questions can me ask lol

  • will it damage the xbox fans if i cleaned it with a vacuum? or is blowing enough?

    ps thx for the tips

  • @Darksider087 it is not wrong to clean it with a vaccum cleaner but u should maintain a good distance from the xbox and the vaccum cleaner

  • thanks!!!!!

  • ty i just got an xbox 360

  • GTA 4 THEME SONG

  • okay i've found a small layer of dust on the fans inside the back of the xbox and i dont know how to open it up and clean it should i just leave it and put a cloth over it after finished and it will gradually go or should i attempt to open and clean would the dust eventually go if i keep it clean?

  • @louiscarr899 NEVER attempt to open ur xbox 360. every console may have a small layer of dust at the back side but u may clean them by blowing air (by ur mouth) to remove them and remember to cover ur console whenever ur not playing this may prevent larger layers of dust at the back of the xbox i hope ive helped u

  • @moe55661 thanks dude :D i went to media markt today and bought a belkin laptop cooler pad its working miracles on the xbox XD and since yesterday ive kept on puttin a cloth over my xbox when im finished. lastly i got rid of most of the dust from my xbox by using my vacume cleaner on super low power it span the fans the oposite direction while it was off and there only was a little bit of dust left :) oh yeah i got a phone box and stood tha battery up like in the vid thanks again :P

  • @louiscarr899 ur welcome :D

  • @moe55661 why never open your console ......i did to fix the rrod back in 2007 and i havent had problems with the 360 at all and my little brother like plays it 24/7 and has it vertically?

  • @DethMetalKilla2 if u did this well done but to be on the safe side dont not fix i by ur self and put it horizintaly

  • @moe55661 it doesnt matter about what position it is in

  • im gonna do this to my next 360 im getting bcuz my other though got the open tray error after i didnt ever clean the xbox of covered it wen not in play so im hopin to advoid that for my next 360 thanks for the vid

  • thanks man this is really good

  • how can i clean it

  • can i put my xbox in the shelf when iam not plying it???i always keep my xbox that way when iam not plying it...

  • offcourse yes but it should be turned off.

  • by the videos i have seen i would suggest just covering it as moe said... don't move it up a lot cause u never know if it might fall from u or something like that.

  • Nahhh... it wont fall from my hand...=)

  • merry x mass

  • does using an intercooler prevent the rrod

and does using a fan stand prevent the rrod

  • well i hear that using an intercooler makes it worst so to be safe use the fan stand or the quad cooler (they prevent the rrod)

    :)

  • Thanks

  • ur welcome

  • i just got my xbox360 today and i was worried it might get the rrod, thnx 4 the advice =) oh and i dont have carpet i have tile(i think)floor is that good for the xbox?

  • if the floor is like stone its ok but dont put it on a blanket or a carpet or any thing that is like them. hope ive helped :D

  • also to be safer you can put it on a table but u can put it on floor if there is not carpet

  • ur saying i should put the huge power battery, on top of a book or something?

  • yes but not one a soft surface s

    such as carpet

  • Nice vid plz help me I have my xbox in a shelf thts has alot of room but not to much room and I'm doing the laptop cooler thing and the power brick has gud room no soft surface it's on wood do u think this is ok? Plz respond any1

  • it is ok to put ur power brick on wood but to be on the safe side put it on a box as shown in the vid. Also to know if your xbox is in a good postion make sure thet every vent is far from the walls more than 30 cm

note:putting your power brick isnt wrong but if u put it on a box it may stay cooler

    hope ive helped you

  • i hope ive helped, and dont forgot to rate and comment

  • thanks dude im getting xbox in a few days

  • your welcome
