  • I had 17th row floor seats for this. Awesome.

  • poppin out a bit of bensin hey!

  • this faget's English level is something you will never reach. so stfu

  • Learn how to speak before you slag one of the greatest guitarists of our time...idiot.

  • John Mayer, love him! You had really good seats!!! Were you on the lower level? Because your seats are perfect!!!

  • Oh man, at about 2:31 or 2:32 when he ends the jam part and goes into the song... amazing.

I was at this show. It was ridiculous.

  • This is ultra-funky. The album version also has a definate, but slightly understated funk groove in it. Here, John just kicks out the jams in the opening variation of the theme. When the song finally kicks in, he pulls it back a bit, but still makes it slam and builds it throughout. Come to back to Atlanta, John!

  • You Know you BIG when you get a gig at the Ex! This is the hardest place to get into. Only the best get in here! Much love for Mayer, he has more skills that he shows on his albums!

  • I wish he did more funk jams like this one or long sweet jams. The allman brothers weren't afraid to make their songs up to 20-30 minutes, why can't more artists today do that?

I wish it wasn't always about time crunch, I wish we could all go and listen to some music with no rush.

  • Because then they will only be able to play 3 or 4 songs in a whole concert!

  • That's why it would be cool just to see John Mayer and not opening acts, so I could experience a 3 hour John Mayer show of allowing him to bust out doing what he loves to do in his songs.

  • I agree with you . . . I love the allman brothers and the dead and phish - but that stuff just doesn't fly today with the "ipod" and "youtube" generation (as I, and JM like to call it). People have such a short attention span, and few people are up for the 20 minute jams (of course I always am). Anyway, I'd love to see it happen- if so, he'd need to let the band go loose a little more.

  • Very true, but people will learn to appreciate it if it is an artist they like, especially a talented one like JM himself. He should do what he likes without limits and people should like him for that.

  • Couldn't agree more, and not only that, I wish he'd record them. For as undeniably talented as JM is, I find his studio work bland for this very reason; that there's no room for the musical inventiveness he's so capable of.

  • Completly Agreed, we gotta find him and tell him that.

  • I think that in a way he aims for the blandish sound in his studio work to allow him to absolutely slam it out live and absolutely wow everyone with these kind of jams and some of the technical solos he can crank out! He's a true entertainer like that I think - it's not like a performer like him to make bland studio music without having a plan in mind!

  • i was at this show and it was amazing

  • i was wishing he'd play this at royal albert hall but ... c'est la vie!

  • i waited all night for him to play this song and when he finally did i was so fuckin pumped!

    that was a great show.

  • i was there baby he is great

  • wish i was there, i love that guy

  • the first JM song I fell in deep love with!

  • he's a genius

  • what a great show, i was 2nd row center here, can almost see me in this video. what a great show and video thanks tons for postin it.

  • I see him at this concert (12th row, right) and I cannot wait to see him in Winnipeg again!

  • thank you so much, its good quality too, beautiful, the song that should've been his first hit

  • This is so good, it should have been his fourth single of the album, save the best track for last. This is definately the best track off the album, that main guitar hook is so seductive and the jazz chord progression before the solo is just genius. Top it all off with cohesive lyricism. I would put this track among the top 250 songs ever written and John Mayer as one of the top 30 guitarists ever.

  • What? You racist ass and you're so damn ignorant you can't even spell "nigger" properly. John Mayer is a superb songwriter almost as much as a slamming guitarist, I'd like to see you try to be 10% as good on the strings if you can even play. Oh, and you call jazz shit, yet all the musicians you noted have elements of jazz and blues (especially KWS) in them, which come from African-American culture! Get educated, you piece of garbage!

  • Kenny Wayne Shepherd I can see. He's awesome. He's not JM quality, but still awesome nonetheless. You are a twat.

  • "much gooder" fucking racist retard

  • Nickelback?

    NICKELBACK?

and JOHN F-ING MAYER is "pusy shit for girls and fagets"?

I should destroy you with words, but i won't. John Mayer is a fantastic guitarist and a wonderful songwriter, and his singing is on the up and up with every passing day.

If you don't like it, then get outta here and shut the f*** up because no one here wants to hear it.

  • @musicphan1 Very specific....

  • good show
