I don't admire Matt only for his talent but also for the hours and hours of work he must have put into this without us being aware of it. I think I know the reason why Muse hasn't played this live since '06. It's also the reason I won't plead for them to play it at future gigs on twitter or the like.

The entire nature of this song is like a giant purgative release against the corruption of showbiz, and given how much effort they're putting into marketing themselves with Twilight and the like to gain popularity, just doesn't represent their mindset anymore.

I was at Wembley Stadium (both nights) this September, and I can say that Starlight Live version is better than in the studio in my opinion. Matt's singing was so beautiful, Chris's Bass and Dom's Drum beat were matched with each other so well when they played Starlight Live.
