Death growls and Black screams are harder to do than just straight singing because you usually don't lose your voice as fast from singing. It takes a lot of practice to get a good growl/scream and not just blow out your vocal chords. Yes, anybody can just belt out whatever they have, but just as many people can simply string a few clean notes together. Practice is involved in both, but I dare people to get as much metal vocal range as, say, Chris Barnes whom can hit 6 different vocal styles.
