My first 45's... the song that introduced me to the belcanto music... i still love it... It may not have won that eurovision song contest (back in 1966 if i am not wrong) but it became the greatest hit out of it! An all time classic since then, has had lots of different versions, between them the one by the Paul Mauriat orchestra (love is blue), one i adore. And not to vorget tha Vicky got her revenge a few years later singing at the E.S.C 1972, another all time classic, the beloved "Αpres toi"!
@dsfddsgh Yes, I agree, it's very creepy, in combination with the war and shock images projected on the background.. Pierre Koralnik was an "Enfant Terrible" of french cinema, and this video mirrors the creative craziness of the early 70's.
Super avant-guard video, far ahead its time. Notice the use of blue box (with analog primitive electronics) and the superb image quality of tube PAL cameras (the full extent of image quality is proven at the "Noch Einmall" video). As of the artistic aspect, I beleive that this video maybe was the source of influence for director R.W. Fassbinder for the visuals of his famous film "Die Bitteren Tränen der Petra von Kant" ( the massive use of creepy dummies) 2 years later.
This must be from her 1971 television show, four years after she performed this song on Eurovision, and three years after the single hit #1... I think I like this version best, with the surreal stage set and the footage from the student riots in Paris.
There's also a trippy version of Noch Einmal from this show on YouTube.
@RakikoHime She returned to Greece and was even involved in Piraeus municipal politics between 2006 and 2008. I am not sure whether she still lives in Greece though.
@aktinotos She has married a German during the 80s now she lives in Germany .She has 3 children her son born in her first marriage and 2 girls she had with her husband in Germany. She still singing but more in Germany.
