My father, Danny Russell, founded this parade, after seeing what it has become, we no longer wish to be associated with the parade, nor is anyone allowed in the gravel pit.
An example of what society would be like if drugs were legal and people produced offspring with their cousins. This parade does not represent Maine. These people forgot or never learned what the 4th is all about. Just another day to them, mad cause their obamacheck is delayed due to the holiday.
@soxfan801 I'm not disrespecting your father, he has absolutely nothing to do with my comment. From what I understand about the WA parade, when it was first created it was a peaceful environment to showcase freedom of expression and comradery, which is definitely my type of gathering. However, as the years progress, it seems people are using the parade more and more as an excuse to get as wasted as possible and not really celebrate anything except for the fact that they are wasted.
