  • I ran a marathon just 2 days ago. I was thinking of this right around mile 17 when the heartburn kicked in and cramps. But I finished smiling.

  • that was cute. by the way as much as I love running, used to do it long ago, and now doing the couch to 5k plan from runners world, I don't see the fascination with running a marathon tho alot of people do it. I get the impression that people become unbalanced and addicted. I mean you don't need train everyday in fact you need to skip days for recovery. no wonder many runners are always fighting injuries they don't accept down time and not wonder they have no other life outside runnning not good

  • lamest goddamn dialogue imaginable

  • running is incredibly healthy... but they failed to mention that part lol

  • Makes a good point though, why do so many runners (yes, not all) have to publicize this stuff to the world? It's like they take pride in getting everyone to think they are nuts...or they want people to be like "Oh! Poor you!! You must be in pain!" or the like. Get over yourselves.

And YES, I run at least 20-30 miles a week too... but this kind of behaviour has always bothered me. You aren't Kara Goucher or Meb, etc and it's likely not your job-- why need external validation!??! ughhh

  • My old man is a runner. He is in constant pain in his knees ankles and feet. Hes been doing it for 40+ years. No stopping him.

  • Eh I guess everyone is nuts. I ride motorcycles. It's like driving a car, except your windshield fogs all the time, you get wet and cold, or hot, bugs die on your clothes, you can't carry much with you, and if anything happens that would inconvenience a normal car driver for 20 minutes while they call AAA, it may kill you instead. The best part is I've already broken my pelvis and permanently injured my should and I keep doing it.

  • Hmm ya most of the sterio typical foot ball players and cheer leaders probably wouldnt know how hard running is. It is cerrtainly more hard than football or cheerleading. You dont stop... you cant stop. Its all in your mind.. I CAN DO THIS. gO LOOK UP PREFONTAIN ON YOUTUBE BECAUSE HE IS AMAZING. pEOPLE SHOULDN'T MAKE FUN OF RUNNING. tHIS ISINT EVENT LAUGH OUT LOUD!

  • LOLOLOLOL!! I love this!! I do not drive that far on my commute to work!

  • Lol check mine out: Horny Politicians

  • I know so many people like this! haha, great.

  • I am an idiot, I am an idiot, Iamanidiot.....

  • I DO HAVE A LIFE..I wake up in the morning, I run, ...God this is hysterical. The sad thing is...WHEN DID I TURN INTO HIM??

  • Lol.... This is very funny!

  • Woot! I can't wait to get my loser's medal!

  • Why is there milk in the water cooler?

  • yes he died and now hundreds of thousands of people do it each year

  • omg i'm cryingggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg cracking uppppppppp

  • Are those shirt buttons or chaffed nipples?

  • 50 mpw off of two 15+ mile runs? That's terrible.

  • LOL

  • @1:38 almost made me spit out my water on my laptop

  • Not likely to get a biast opinion here are we?.... most common passtime for people here would be slowly getting fatter as they sit on their arse eating Doritos.

Turn off your computer and go outside losers.

  • this is so funny! i cant stop laughing....we(runners) sound crazy! But we love it! What can we say?

  • We sure are idiots arent we LOL

  • This is great! The voices are the best. I'm one of those insane runners and that makes this video even funnier to me! We are idiots, haha! Thanks for posting

  • she's hot!!

  • my wife said this is me! I think she is right

  • Love it. Simple, to the point, and so true'

  • LMAO. So true!

  • 15 miles + We will say 21 miles for the long run = 36 miles for two of the days this week. He runs 50 miles a week. 50 - 36 = 14. 14 divided by the other 5 days of running = only 2.8 miles on average the rest of the week. Who ever made this obviously not a runner.

  • Lol!

  • this is one of my favorites i laugh my butt off every time - non runners just dont get it.How runners act.

  • I've never met a woman that was that ignorant...although they might be in their own head. I have seen a few newbie suburbanite runners that somewhat act like that guy. Only when they are a newbie though. Great rendition of tweedle newb and tweedle dum :) SMH...Read Born to Run by Chris McDougall and open your eyes.

  • "So the first person to do this died?" LOL Oh my so funny!

  • Can relate to so much of the commentary. Fantastic!

  • Hahahahaha

  • omg.

  • I think this is hilarious because I have had people in my life that have said things like this!

I like how the company psychiatrist runs with him.

  • I think this is hilarious because I have had people in my life that have said things like this!

  • I like "that is stupid. I thought only winners got medals."

  • That first cough is so perfectly-timed.

  • This is hilarious!

  • This is way too funny!! LMBO!

  • i love the monotone voices that dont quite hit the exact ques...actually i dont, but the content is good. so typical.....so very typical.

  • Rumpl4skn ... you are dead wrong and I will resist making assumptions ...

Absolutely the response you get from non runners .... loved it!

Net2wolf ... Miami was AWESOME. I thought these were made by critics at first but that would take too much effort. Good job guys!

  • Ironically timely, have been reading about how BAD cardio like marathon running is for you, in so so many ways. We're not designed for it, to begin with. In addition, you train your heart to be lean and mean - therefore weaker when sudden demand is applied - why many runners dies of cardiac arrest, despite being in what appears to be great shape. Add in the damage to your knees and joints, and it really isn't a good habit / hobby.

  • @Rumpl4skn You must be fat, go the broscience.

  • @unhingeddavo No, I'm not fat. How did you derive that from my comments about the ill effects of running? You must be a Lutheran. How's that for logic? : )

  • @unhingeddavo No, not fat at all. 5'9", 175 lbs. Played a lot of baseball.

  • Lame.

  • OMG! I am that stupid guy!!!!!!

  • Your legs cramp up very badly and you can not walk in a straight line for days...you should try it. ROFL

  • @drdudemeister

Sounds convincing enough for me! I'am sold on it!

  • I can't stop laughing at this- "you ran 15 miles on purpose?" LOVE IT! non-runners will never get it and runners know how nuts they sound!

Did I mention I love this?!?!

  • @clubhoppingchick The best part of this comment is that you had to hint at the fact that you are a runner. Couldn't help it, could you?

  • @clubhoppingchick HAHA sooo true! runners are crazy!!!! the things we do......

  • this is seriously dead on, haha

  • So glad my runner friends aren't like this guy! He makes running sound like such fun!

  • this is brilliant and very very true!!! have had similar enc0unters myself haha!!! and yes, I d0 get up at 5am t0 run bef0re w0rk :D

  • I think the robot voice makes it funny. That is so true and cracks me up.

  • The voiced take away from this being funny. Fix that and this is hilarious!

  • That was pretty funny if I do say so myself. Too bad they couldn't make the voices a tad less robotic but overall a good laugh for the day.

  • Funny. Running shoes and a water bottle for the dude would have enhanced the scene.

  • Hilarious! This is why I completely stopped running after college. Not to end up like this tool. I ran division 1 cross country and track. I have never even contemplated a marathon. Totally pointless. Guys like this crack me up!

  • I have had too many conversations like this not to laugh with it. Great job.

  • Beware snotty lady. Some day you too may catch the fever

  • this is too funny!

  • 50miles a week? That's not a runner :)

  • Come on a Marathoner would have said the soldiers name is Phidippides. He was under trained and that is why he was having cramping. lol

  • Already saw this brought by Brandy, but it is still FUNNY!!!!

  • Hillarious. I've run my first Marathon recently and this is how I must be sounding...:)

  • This is too funny! I'm new to running, but this is hilarious. :)

  • Good luck to all the runners who will be taking part in the Las Vegas, NV - Tiberias, Israel and Miami, FL marathons in the coming month! We might be crazy but we are all getting medals ;-)

  • yeah this is pretty stupid!

  • I will admit. During the training of my first marathon, training and running was what I thought about constantly. It's impossible not. The physical toll is both difficult and enlightening. This video is so god dam funny. I do have a life. I get up at 5 o'clock in the morning. Okay then.

  • OMG - How perfect is this? As a 60+ runner who has done 60+ marathons, I can vouch for the hilarious accuracy of both sides of this conversation. Too much fun!

  • This is Amazing. hahahaha.
