Trillions of dollars? No one even understood the concept of trillions back then. People like you are why anything from the Internet has to be taken with a grain of salt.
I don't know what makes you a bigger idiot (Mac McAllister) this stupid video, the fact that your opening comments show you know nothing about Nixon and his presidency (you probably think Kennedy was the best, but Veitnam was his war - Nixon ended it)or, wait for it.........wait......Richard Nixon was not the 38th President of the United States, he was the 37th! Jackass!
Actually Nixon never profited from government work- he was not a rich man who lined his pockets. Also he was the 37th President, not the 38th. Ford was the 38th.
Come on man, that's a low-blow. Unless I mis-interpreted what you were saying, it's only going to make the Anti-Obama side look silly if we resort to cheap insults. I don't like Obama as much as the next guy, but we can't resort the liberal-level name calling!
This film has to be so old. "Lined his pockets". No he didn't. He was no snake. The serpents were the Daniel Ellsberg's and the Jane Fonda's and the Tye-dyed punks who burned the flag and tried to destroy this country. Nixon did all he could to understand them, keep America strong AND save the peoples of South-East Asia from communism's nightmare. God bless this flawed but deeply caring and complicated great American.
Historically, you always want to use the "great if" with Richard Nixon. What if; for instance, Nixon had simply fired all his aids the next day after the Watergate break in and made a clean breast of things? Would America have forgiven him and relected him President? My intuition says yes.
These commentors are correct, You have no clue what you are talking about. Leave it to another mindless Hater to make random things up. You Sir are indeed a mindless foolish person
how come we can't hear him playing "Happy Birthday"? And yeah, yer a total ignoramus on the war question. it was a very complex situation he'd inherited, but he got us out, though very imperfectly. Plus, I doubt Nixon made himself any richer than any other prior or subsequent president. Nixon bashers don't like to hear the facts. they just like to bash him.
You are not accurate about Mr. Nixon being the 38th President and you are not accurate about your claim about the war which he inherited from LB Johnson. You, sir, a fool.
Contrary to what many believe, Nixon was in pretty serious financial straights when he left office, and needed financial assistance from his friend Bebee Rebozo to make a balloon payment on his home in San Clemente.
He made some money after he left office, but was not very wealthy when he was in office.
Clinton lied too. Under oath.

This video is crap: Nixon made some bad calls... name one leader since who has not made as many bad calls.
I argue the cold war would have been a non talker in history had he been able to continue!!!
Spying on the opposition.... shit every leader on the planet does it!!! Are we so stupid to believe that Nixon was a bad guy for it!!???

Nixon has one thing going for him. He didn't come form the planet of the apes like our current president.

Great man. Great president.

but he was already in his second term. therefore, he couldn't have been reelected
jakejake15 3 years ago
The Watergate break-in happened in June 1972 which was an election year so at that time he was still in his first term.
xxNIKEDAN63bb 3 years ago
they found out about the break in after reelection though
