  • does anyone know if the song handiende, as far as i was concerned this song was produced and recorded by steve makoni when he returned to zim from the states, but there appears to be a shool of thought that beleives this was done by oliver mtukudzi ? i really cannot recall mtukudzi singing this song... even his version does not sound like the original? can anyone help does anyone have a copy of steve makonis version?

  • for sure don williams of Zimbabwe, im quite surprised don williams never played in zimbabwe he has such a following we all grew up with his music .. i seem to recall all my friends dads had a copy of don williams. has anyone got the original "handiende" by steve makoni or ndoitei maidei .. brillient tracks

  • @thomasaquinus123 Actually Don Williams did play in Zim in 97 when I was in high school; my parents are huge fans and by extension so am I. I distinctly remember the ridiculous amounts for the concert though and I heard Don Williams was kinda unhappy about that too because he felt they were inhibitory! There is a DVD of his tour if you are interested......

    This takes me back home. I haven't been since '99. I have a tear in my eye listenin' to this. Do you know where I could purchase a copy of his album? I scoured the internet and couldn't find anything. Even on ebay and amazon.
