I didn't play this game a lot, but the shor ttime I played it made me fall in love with its landscapes, music and characters.

I will not miss the boat for FFXIV like I did with this game, I will start from Day 1.

But Final Fantasy 14 comes out in spring 10, and at this point it looks like FF11 HD

I used to play this game but had to give it up because of financial issues..it was my escape into a fantasy world..a world that I wish the real world was like..it was much better than WoW or GW in my opinion.

I loved the immersive quality of the game, and how the music and visuals add up to something believable and aesthetically enjoyable for an FF skeptic like me but...like any other sick & crazy MMORPG it's like hitting the "replace my life" button

As good as Uematsu is, Naoshi Mizuta did a splendid job with the FFXI soundtracks, imo Mizuta's work on FFXI and it's xpacs are perhaps one of the most underrated ost's there is.

I LOVED this song. I still remember the run from San d'Oria to Ghelsba Outpost. Gosh, 70 WHM, 70 BLM, 65 SMN... I could never go back and do all that again.

It does sound similar to something else, maybe because it shares the same kind of style as FFIX? I know this particular song is unique for this game. Uematsu still had/has it!

I completely agree that it sounds similar to FF9. The song reminds me of the title theme from FF9, "A Place to Call Home". Well, it might be more similar to the Oeilvert theme, but those two songs are nearly identical anyways.

SupraDarky, you should upload more FF9 music! Uematsu has said it's his favorite soundtrack that he's composed. I'd say it's mine as well.

Final Fantasy XI is just about the only FF game I've never played, so I can't say much about the game but the soundtrack seems excellent. Great choise.
