@TheRoseville5 The bible just sounds made up. It bears all the hallmarks of ignorance, superstition, fear and desperation that plagued the bronze age middle east. Biblical claims are ludicrous---they contradict science and rationality. The morality (especially OT) is barbaric and sick--it justifies slavery, rape, murder, genocide, infanticide and torture. Much of the bible is so horrific it only be conceived by primitive savages for the purpose of domination and theocratic control.
I agree that the OT is like rated R and X even in other areas. My interpretation of the Bible to ,me was meant to be a guide as to how we are to live our lives and are able to learn from past mistakes if desired. I was raised in a christian home myself and got burned so I am not a fan of religion at all. however I do enjoy having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. So I lean on that everyday and everything else just seems to fall into place. feedback????
you know, you can get a bible on your cellphone if you want to read it that much. not such a big deal. but if i'm going to read a book, i will usually do that at home, not while driving, while taking a test at school, or dining out.
you know what,yesterday my dad's cell phone was off and i realized yesterday,it is very very hard to go places without one. well,its the samething with a bible,without reading it,you cant go anywhere in life.

That is because our cell phones have practical and tangible purposes in our existence as citizens, employees, family members etc.
Bibles are nothing more than ancient texts where multiple individuals interpret them in various and in some cases extreme ways causing individual isolation, hatred, and segregation of persons and groups who do not agree.
