  • @ANealis Thank you for your comment. Enjoy.

  • Great tune and great playing and voice, too. Is that an old Stella? What year?

  • Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. Yes, it is an old Oscar Schmidt Stella. Not easy to exactly date these things. Basically somewhere between the late 20s and early 30s. Enjoy.

  • sounds great ,keep up the good work

  • Thank you for your comment. Remember to wash your hands! Enjoy.

  • great song great vibe

  • Stunning - good blues geezer

  • Thank you for your comment. Enjoy.

  • Wow another great contemporary Blues Song! Thank you Keni. You brought Blues back to life for me.

X-cuse me by the way I have a little question. How do you play e minor and a minor on a 3 string cigar box guitar which is tuned GDG?

Answer would relly help me to play DIrty Old Town by the Pogues - Wonderful song even it's not from the missippi delta ;-)

All the best for you from Harry the Kraut

  • Thank you Harry for your comment and question. A minor chord is made up of tones 1, flat3, 5. The key of E is (e f# g# a b c# d# e). E minor is e g b. Find these notes. They will appear in various locations. Ex: 1-12 fret, 2-14 fret, 3-16 fret Most of the time playing an interval (2 note double stop) is enough to imply the chord. Use 1, flat3, or flat3, 5 to get the essential minor tone. Not a bad little quick and easy explaination. LOL. Enjoy

  • A great follow-up to a song called "Ham beats all meat"

  • Thank you. I don't think I heard that one!

  • Excellent!

  • Thank you.

  • "Wash your hands child so it don't getchu ..."

Classic. Got it posted on FluWorks!

  • Thank you for your comment and posting my video. Stay well!

  • When I heard it I suddenly had the Idea to play a little harp tune for that beatiful simple Song. Would be funny to sit on that front porch with you.

    Greetings from Germany

  • Thank you. Yes, some Harp would be a nice addition. Enjoy.

  • That's so great! You really need to upload that on your Myspace account.

  • rofl that is great; which tuning is it in...

  • Thank you. I'm in Vestapol Tuning Key of C. CGCegc. low to high. Enjoy.

  • LOL!! Love this song man!! Thing that gets me is why all the scare. 36,000 ppl die annually in the US from just regular flu. We have less than 10 ppl die here and it's total freak out session in the mainstream media.

  • Thank you. Well, media is controled by the large corporations that sponsor the news. Anything that increases ratings is good. Simple formula: Disaster plus high ratings equal more profits. One man's loss is another man's gain. lol. Enjoy.

  • Ya KeniLee,

It's that whole Hegelian Dialectic aka

    Problem/Reaction/Solution paradigm.

    1) The government creates or exploits a problem blaming it on others

    2) The people react by asking the government for help willing to give up their rights

    3) The government offers the solution that was planned long before the crisis

This can be witnessed over and over again all throughout history. The Patriot Act, Swine Flu, etc. I'm so glad you were able to make me laugh and my head bob to the groove!

  • Thank you. Well it is not exactly as good as the Ring Around the Rosie Rag, but it certainly is a catchy tune. lol. Enjoy.

  • Thank you. Enjoy.

  • As ever great stuff !

  • Thank you.

  • i love bacon, i love ham, never knew pork could kill a man! hahaha love this line!

  • Thanks for the share, sweetie. Got me laughing!

  • Hey Keni, Nice work. If you're into topical stuff you should have done a re-working of bankers blues (Big Bill Broonzy, I think).

    Keep up the good work.

  • Thank you for your comments. Not sure if I heard that one. I will have to give it a listen. Enjoy.

  • Thanks man, great song!!

  • Thank you.

  • real nice kb,soon to be a hit,thanks...peace...m________

  • Thank you. Well, it did get some time on CNN. If that counts? lol. Enjoy.

  • Great song, indeed! Like the topical blues tunes of old. Very inspiring.

    Thanks for that.

  • Thank you for stopping by and posting your comments. Enjoy.

  • Wow, great stuff here Kenny. You always seem to put some real feeling into the song without overdoing it. You-Tube and Keni. It would have taken other artists and record labels 6 months to put this out. Thanks for catpuring it in the beginning.

  • Thank you for the kind words. Well, considering I started exploring Country Blues back in 1984, it really has been a long time in the making. lol. Enjoy.

  • Nice tune sir. Weather looks good in New Jersey. How about some info on that early Stella Keni.Nice maple neck sure is a honey.

  • Thank you. Yes, it has been a little unseasonably hot. 90 degrees! As you might be aware, I sold the two other Stella on Ebay and now I'm left with this one. It is a keeper. It is very similar to the one in the Soul of a Man video except it has a pearloid fingerboard, headstock, and guard. The neck is also like you mentioned made of heavier solid wood. I purchased it on ebay for $800. The guard was missing. Jimmy recreated it 's shape using the existing glue pattern left behind. Enjoy.

  • tuning?

  • Vestapol Key of C CGCegc Low to high. Thank you for your interest and question. Enjoy.

  • Great job bro! You deliver again as always

  • Thank you my friend. Enjoy.

  • that was genius!!

    haha proper loved it! =)

  • Thank you for the kind words. Take care!

  • Yes you are da man!

  • Thank you.

  • Thanks Keni. Yeah your right, that's the first thing I thought about; the 1930's.

Your one of the few bluesmen I've heard who possesse's a vocal and guitar style that transports us immediately back to the

distant past. You remind me of all those

    long departed great bluesmen!

    Again, so very good !

  • Thank you very much for the positive feedback and encouragement. Enjoy.

  • Keni

I too like bacon and ham, and if It kills me I'ma eatin anyway!! great tune

    Big Daddy

  • lol. Well, the last thing we need now is a drop in pork belly futures too. Thank you.

  • 'GREAT Keni' ! Thats what Trad Blues is all about ! Singing about lifes issues and you've done a great job here ! Send a Copy to Obama,...You never know what might eventuate. ('A dinner invite to the White House- with Roast Pork the main serving). Just kidding.

Hey I love this man. Well, well done !

    10 / 10 !!!!!

  • Thank you. Well, as you know, I mainly play cover tunes. I figured after awhile original ideas would naturally come out. I had no intention to write this song. There was just some much talk on the TV that I was inspired. It surprises me too, that although very timely, it sounds like it could have been written in 1930.

  • WOW!! This is exactly what I came in here to see and I was not disappointed! Great performance KeniLeeBurgess!

  • Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed my song.

  • Great song, thank you Keni

Maybe the American and British Governments could use it in their forthcoming Swine flu hygiene campaigns

  • Thank you for the kind words and encouragement.

  • Swine flu swine flu It dont care if youre Christian or jew

This little piggy he went to town; other little piggy stayed home

One little piggy in Me-he-co turn de worl upside- down
