  • I have a little question.

Your Reality IV without ENB looks really good, i replaced the files to my gta4 map but when I play gtaiv everything is way too bright, even with the colour settings, I have Brightness, Contrast and Colour on 50/50 but its still waaaayyy too bright :P

do you know any option to solve this?

    Anyway thanks and great mod!

  • @litletheftauto

The last person who had this very problem did not have his GTAIV in a moddable state. Try googling "How to Make GTAIV Moddable" it involves add a few extra files that I could not include due to them not being mine. Good luck.

  • @DKTronics70 Heey thanks for the fast reply ;)

Yeah I deleted my gta folder and installed again so my gta was mod clean :P

Now its less brighter, still lowerd my brightness to 30% cause it looks better in my opinion, its probably cause im using the 1.0.0.7 patch.

Never mind it looks very nice thanks ;)

  • name of the song, please :-P

  • @cunma123 look below the likes bar?!

    Artist: Eric Serra

Buy "Little Light of Love" on: iTunes

  • The realism is the best I've ever seen, the only thing I think it could be better is the light system. I mean, it's REALLY realistic, but it looks like it's always cloudy. I already have downloaded this mod and I love it, but with more sunny days (like in the vanilla GTA IV) I would love it even more.

  • i have this and I can run it at 1440x900 with medium settings very smooth on 8500gt 256mb ddr3

  • my god, the lighting is amazing! i wonder how people can rate this down... -_-

i wonder though how it would look combined with icenhancer... guess i'll have to try out

  • @Speeddaffy take icenhancer 1.25 and there the roads are in and also new trees (better then these from gta 4)... hope you ll find it =) ps: you don t have to install icenhancer...

  • @ipodhelperefection you stumbled across some weird package. icenhancer usually doesn't include roads and trees. but icelaglace mentions in his blog which ones he prefers: dkt70 roads and vanni trees

  • @ipodhelperefection my bad, icenhancer does come with textures but... what i wrote before still stands - icelaglace actually prefers different ones and the ones he recommends are bigger than at least the ones included with 1.2.5

  • This looks amazing bro! Downloading :-)

  • Look's like real world!

  • my pc cant even handle this video

  • Thank you for this wonderful mod!

Perfect, except one thing: brightness when sun hits buildings, cars and people. It's simply too bright!

What line can you edit in the Timecycle to fix this? Thx :-)

  • Hey man i have a problem... I cant see any raindrop when i set the weather to rainy or lightning.. there are only some small fog clouds falling down, nothing more. Could you help me?

  • @Speeddaffy

I have said what this is about a million times and still it persists. If you LOCK your time using a trainer on ANY time in Sunny then the adaptation will NOT adapt, it will stick to the brightest of the adaptation settings and not be allowed to darken or "Adapt" to wherever you are on the map.

  • My xbox is across the room and turned off but somehow it just broke

  • @DKTronics70 So could it be possible that your first person view makes it look better? I've tried using the camera where I see the hood of the car only and it does look similiar at some points. But sometimes in your video when you're driving and I look at the building it just looks so real. Like at 1:50 such realistic floor and buildings. And btw I'm using your road textures that you've shared in a older video. Either way I'm gonna reinstall and only add your files.

  • @DKTronics70 It would be great if you could upload the crucial stuff you use in your video sometime. I've seen alot of goodlooking video's from you and also from others. But everyone I download the stuff they upload it looks nothing like their video's I guess 'cause they use other stuff that they don't upload. So would be nice if you shared everything sometime so we can finally play GTA IV like this.

Ps: I use 1.0.4.0. patch, is that maybe the problem? Maybe with 1.0.7.0. it's better?

  • @Auguya

The only thing that might differ between what you see in this video and your own GTAIV installation is a road texture mod by myself, everything else is stock. The mod should look exactly the same on every PC and patch because it does not use any external files, only edited stock files. I noticed no difference between testing patch 1.0.3.0. and patch 7, except slightly better looking shadows and running a little better on 7. I also use a cloud texture, but that is included in the mod.

  • @Speeddaffy

If you hold on for a few days I will upload a new set I am working on. Old links will be fixed as well.

  • What's the song used in the video? Sounds awesome.

  • The double impression, on the one hand is visible that game and with another like a real city present and not computer, but for some reason it is impossible to me on mine pc precisely also, you used a current of one fashions improving a drawing? It is possible to download yours GTA, already established game, here with these fashions which videos were used in it, well and all that there has been changed, Thanks.

  • Are theses Vanilla textures or are you using better ones?

  • @WSFwarlord

A bit of both. Roads Texture I am still working on, some random tests just to see how they look in-game, and the odd building change.

  • i think i'm gonna stop using ENB and use this awesome mod, at least until someone fix the bugs in ENB EFLC.. i like having GTA IV and EFLC look the same instead of having only one look awesome and the other just great.

Too bad you locked your texture mod thread on GTA forums.. damn thoses jealous bastards :/

  • And can I mix this with enb?

  • Is this the DOF version?

  • @llewylnmoss

All releases contain a DoF alternative, for those that like it.

And no, this not meant for ENB.

  • @DKTronics70 so i cant use enb with this?

  • @iPhoneIenohPi

I'm just saying it's not meant for ENB. If you want to try then go ahead, but you will get lots of problems with lighting, sky, etc.. Everything will be extremely white, and adaptation won't work properly - ENB works differently, same principles, just different.

  • Can this be used on EFLC?

  • hey man i tried this mod and everything works so good with the latest patch as well! just wanted to know how to enable motion blur as shown in the vid! i tried what u said in the readme but it din't help, so plz elaborate with it!

  • @vinayakjjd

Start the game, goto Options, then Graphics, then right at the bottom is "Definition", make sure it is set to "Off".

You can also switch between motion blur on and off, while ingame, by pressing the 'P' key. Make sure you are also using the included visualsettings.dat. If you want more or less motion blur then the open visualsettings.dat in a test editor, goto here -> #Config Values for Camera Events <- and the .W and .Y values are most important.

  • I just might download GTA 4 plus am going to burn this to xbox 360 and see how it looks.

  • @DKTronics70

Hello. What version of GTA IV do you recommend using? 1.0.0.4 or 1.0.7.0?

  • @jhonnleonardo

Depends on your PC. For me, 1.0.7.0., with the same settings as 1.0.3.0., runs better due to the newer shadow system that patch 7 uses, and in my honest opinion it looks slightly better thanks to a lesser use of the horrible stipple effect used in previous patches. For ENB, it will always be 1.0.3.0. because of the modding tools. Some prefer 1.0.4.0. (Patch 4), 1.0.0.4. is patch 5, btw.

  • Thanks for your reply, I'll be starting a stock install now :) look forward to seeing more of your work

  • Amazing job Dk watched all of your videos now and i'm well impressed, just cant get mine to look the same :(

Please can you give me a full list of the mods that you have used in this video and maybe send a link to your enb settings. I always end up being too shinny or too light.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

  • @evofq3o0

I am not using ENB in this mod, this mod does not use ENB. You should make sure you use ALL the files in the archive, only the shaders are the ones that are not required unless you want them patched for Sharpness, or DoF. I am using a trees mod (this is linked in the description of this video), and a road texture mod. Other than that everything is stock including the cars. This mod should look the same across all patches & PCs, since it only uses stock modded files, nothing external.

  • OK thankyou!! ill try the roads mod!! :D .. does pichx3's enb series for eflc still work with my gta iv? ... last question, your sun haze is amazing!!!! i really respect you as a modder for that!! is it available yet? if not roughly when?

    THANKS!!

  • @aj4eva91

P1ch3's mod only works properly on patch 1.0.7.0. / EFLC. My haze effect will be uploaded when I finish my current mod.

  • DK!!! u the man :) it works on my gta iv 1.0.7.0 but i just want to ask what other graphics mod do u recommend i add to your mod??

it already looks much better though..

  • @aj4eva91

You could try my Trees mod, it's linked in the description. I have a roads mod, but it only covers main roads not B-Roads, or minor roads - that mod is over 4Gb so uploading is out for now. Many use Better City Textures or Ultimate Textures, I personally do not like them because they are just sharpened and edited in Photoshop, so new textures or anything, and the roads are too dark.

  • Modded GTA IV looks better than anything else out there no doubt!

  • it's unbelievalbe how real this looks

  • Does it works with 1.0.7.0 patch?

  • @janes104

    Yes, tested it myself.

  • @DKTronics70

I have a little problem with this version, in tow verson gta 4 and eflc all weathers have no clouds and everything is very bright

  • @ThiKooL11

Is your GTAIV moddable ? You have make it moddable if you use specific patches. There are videos on Youtube on how to do this, as well as google. Do you have other mods installed ? Other mods, graphic mods you have tried ? there maybe a conflict somewhere. I would remove ALL mods, go back to stock files and test using my timecyc.dat file only, then the visualsettings file, then the timecyclemodifiers, use stock shaders not patched. I tested this on patch 3 and 7 so I know it works.

  • Wow! This video shows no proof of the mod! You really have to install it to experiences it! Good work man and keep at it! I'm replaying the game for the 15th time and this is probably the best I've seen the game at (even though I took 25FPS hit, but IT'S WORTH IT!).

  • @comedyguy911

Thanks, it really needs to be played, like you said, to see specific effects. Also, don't use a locked trainer in Sunny and Extra Sunny 2, always unlock the time or the brightness will be affected.

  • @ApollGoth No you don't need to do that. Since it only replaces files that have something todo with the graphics.

    -I think

  • Interesting, does it affect the fps in any way?

  • @Kuchen90000

If you have no trouble running the stock game then this mod shouldn't be much different in fps. There are higher farclip values but on a good system it shouldn't affect it in a negative way.

  • @DKTronics70 Also, give me a couple to finish the game, I'll help out on lighting bugs. These are the one's I've found so far: Glasses are not tinted anymore, they they appear the color (Look @ Mallorie) and Bowling Alley is to dark and changes with the weather outside. Inside's Romans' garage, the lighting it too strong.

  • @comedyguy911

Make sure you are using the latest timecyclemodifiers from the archive, not any older ones. The bowling is my own preference, I like it slightly darker for a nicer effect. If you want bowling brighter then open the file timecyclemodifiers.dat in a text editor, scroll down to the line that says Bowl - it will start with -1.0 - now scroll to the end of the line and look for 0.9 lower this to brighten the area, start with 0.5. The garage is stock for now, because it's not finished.

  • Are you still working on the Road texture pack?

  • @comedyguy911

They're finished as far as I'm concerned for now, all roads done, but I'm not distributing them because they're 4Gb in size and I don't have the upload bandwidth.

  • @DKTronics70 :0!

  • it looks better than crysis 2!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing job DKT, especially on the cloudy days, they look so realistic. By the way, do you think you could tell me your specs?

  • @BurnOutNewsMusic DKT noticed that u typed:"Funny"&"mods"and they are HIGHLY connected within your phrase which can lead to 1 conlusion:

You want to make a nasty comment(cause you dont appriciate even a little His mod?who knows)but with what background behind you man?You came here after all that years this programmer has worked out, he knows things you cant even imagine about pc's-and i dont exaggerate on this-and you simply throw a comment including: Funny mod?HE WORKS 4 U and you spit him? WTF

  • @fonia5

I've blocked him mate, so don't worry about it. If I don't block these people then this will go on and on and on, and it was pretty clear from the start that he wanted to flame me and start something. I'm a pretty-mild guy who will help anyone, but it goes both ways so I at least expect a little bit of respect, not sarcasm and trolling.

Anyway, fuck him. How did you get on with this mod, fonia ? Any problems ?

  • @DKTronics70 You know my opinion for this mod. What it's title says, that excactly does ;) problems no, not at all, and your lightning weather aswell is fantastic. BUT nightime with enb and your mod cooporating is all the money. it's even better from the timecycle i use which is speciffic setted for enb..

  • @fonia5

I am working on the ENB version right now, & it's not looking too bad for early tests, you can see the progress from the links I posted on the mods page over on gta4. One thing I wouldn't do personally is to use this mod here in ENB, since it's not meant for ENB it probably won't work properly or look very good. ENB needs the light & shade colours to be fine-tuned to ENB, & this is mostly the other way around. This is going to take some time, but when I'm close I will link you a beta.

  • Keep up the good work mate!

Your mod is the best out there, and the only one that can be compared to ENB in some ways. :)

  • @marko094

Thanks marko, nice to get a decent comment for a change.

  • @DKTronics70 man, i will say this again even if i repeat my self, enb... ok, yes it's better, the russian mastermind made this artifact like no other mod arround // (enb makes the game look more "cinema style" more atmospherical) and that's what the simple user Want's to see in his games.. NOT Reality, kids don't like reality, they love extraordinary results, even if these you can't see them out in the real world. they love the extra colour which is 4 me UGLY, i suppose you have seen TheEryk03

  • @fonia5

I don't like this Eryk03 dude, he is simply a con artist. Think about this, what if I had not released a single RealityIV mod since I first started almost a year ago, all these videos and nothing to show for it, I keep telling people that it's a private mod and they cannot have it, how is that any different from what Eryk03 is doing all the time ? To me it's simple, either put up, or shut up, if you have a mod that is so wonderful then prove it. As for ENB, I appreciate your honesty.

  • @DKTronics70 ... and i continue: result, personally i don't like it, cause it's not realistic, but can you tell me another explanation, why the most of the ppl are dying for that result? ppl JUST don't want real graphics on their games. they want the "exaggeration". i really think that if one day a company releases a game with GFX straight from real world, ppl won't appreciate itat the lvl they should, they will look at that game and say: PFF i want something else than that. something more fake

  • ..all im saying, im looking at your mod and i cant realise it yet, honestly, sometimes when i test it on my pc i think i watch an enviroment from real life. i dont say this cause i like you (which i do tbh) but cause it's true.. man it's better than eNB (at least at reality level and not visual beauty) and you cannot change my mind, at least at the point i mentioned..

  • @BurnOutNewsMusic

Dude, you're a fucking moron. I mean, you can't even get a simple mod working. And me crying, lol, I don't even fucking care. Remember, it was YOU who came here acting like some spoilt little shit using daddy's crap PC. I have years-worth of knowledge in modding, I'm not some fucking noob at this. Reading your fucking stupid posts, the fact that you cannot even spend 6 minutes googling your "Problem" says it all, I spent 6 MONTHS on this. This is clearly a case of PEBKAC.

  • Funny, but game won't start for me after i replace your "mods"?

  • @BurnOutNewsMusic

Nearly 2000+ downloads now, and you are the first one to say it wont start, so the problem lies with you. Now that is the "Funny" part.

  • @DKTronics70

Well maybe i'm just the "first" , others maybe just ignored this. But i replaced all files with original files, and game won't load, so what "magic" trick i could do to make it work?

  • @BurnOutNewsMusic

Dude, if you want to imply that this mod is fake by using sarcastic quotes then go ahead, unless I rather cleverly faked the many videos here then the "Problem" lies with YOU. This is just a timecycle mod, it doesn't do "Magic" tricks except for tricks I use myself in the timecycle, everything is just standard files. YOU clearly have a problem on your side, unless it's a filecheck problem (Google it) or you have a conflict of files from other mods.

  • @DKTronics70

No one saying this is fake or what, actually i don't care if it works for me or not, i just wanted to try, but after i replaced your modded files with original gta 4 files, game just won't start, after i replaced with backup files, game works fine. And i never modded my gta 4 before. So i just saying that there is a problem with it. Maybe this mod needs to be placed on particular version ( as in readme.txt i can't find shit about anything, just about what was changed in game).

  • @BurnOutNewsMusic

The Readme says enough, as does the directory structure inside the archive which, as any competent person would know, matches the default structure of your gtaiv installation - Files go in the same. You don't care if it works or not, then FUCK off, I really don't care to be honest. YOU came here with the attitude problem that YOU clearly have, and I would have helped if it wasn't for that. And I will say it for the last time, the "Problem" lies with YOU, NOT with this mod.

  • @BurnOutNewsMusic AND IF you knew even a little about games programs and mods you SHould knew that RealityIV is one of the **Simpliest** mods (NOT to Create for christ sake) but to install it. it's just to replace the original files with again ORIGINAL but edited files.

-You need to Adapt your game to the mods, not the mods to adapt to your PC... thats the way its done and kids know this, but even kids who doesn't know this doesn't give them the right to speak that way.

  • @BurnOutNewsMusic and something last to prevent you from alter your sayings.

The fact you placed the word---> mods between " " in your phrase in order to underestimate it, is Undiscussable..

  • OMG FOR THE FUCKING WIIIIIIIIIIIIN

  • Looks great but I have a problem, I downloaded the files now what do I do with them? You should include a ReadMe.

  • @frontierinternetsuck

Really ? You mean like the file in the archive called "Readme.txt", that one ?

  • @DKTronics70 Never mind I figured it out I had to download a program called 7z to extract the files

  • @G1ngerGod

Snow ? This game is set in the late summer, not the winter. Try the snow mod that is out there, I personally don't like it because it looks silly with snow in a summer setting.

  • @G1ngerGod

Don't worry about it, it's surprising how much shaders, especially modded shaders, can affect the game's look.

  • BTW, if anyone has any problems with cars not drawing properly, then change the following lines in the visualsettings.dat

    Search for this line

    # Lod distances for vehicles

Change the values underneath that line to look like this.

    car.lod.distance.high 25.00

    car.lod.distance.low 80.00

I use a high distance LOD to draw cars far away, but some have said they had problems with cars not displaying properly so if you fall into that category then apply these changes.

  • @G1ngerGod

It should work on any patch, retail DVD, and steam, there is no reason it shouldn't because it's not using any external files, only modified standard files.

  • Hey thanks for the new patch.

  • is this on patch 7?

  • @jonaslum

Works on all patches, and EFLC.

  • music track plz!

    awesome mod btw!!!

  • @DMSSS

It's from the movie "The Fifth Element", and it's the final credits song "Little Light of Love"

  • Looks good:)

  • @marioxxxspeed

Sunny uses adaptation, light will be bright in some areas and dark in others, it self-adjusts depending on the area.

  • try cry engine 3

  • nice, where are the new streets :O

  • Good job as always DKTronics70!

    Works great...well done.

  • Holy shit i bet not even GTA5 will look as good as this. Great job! i will sure try this when i get an i7 and a good video card :D

  • Props for your persistence, they're already talking about a GTA V and you're still goin, much respect towards u

  • Dammit I want a new Laptop....NAO!!!!

  • Incredible!!

I thought it be impossible to alter stock files to achieve better looking results than with ENBSeries. Clearly I was wrong!

Thanks DKTronics, will try this asap.

  • @G1ngerGod

Re-Download the link, I have extracted the stock shaders from each patch and included them in the archive, so now they are completely stock and mod free. Try those.

  • Man I just started my work day...I should of called in sick to test this new release out loll

Looks awsome mate, can't wait to get home tonight and try this out if the kids let me!!

  • @wonderblunt

Cheers matey, let me know how you get on.

  • @G1ngerGod

Try stock unpatched shaders, try patched shaders. You clearly have some conflict somewhere since I have no problems with shadows myself.

  • Ok, links are up. I have also put up a trees test I am working on if anyone wants to try them, the trees can be seen in the video.

Remember to use the skydome file for correct clouds, or the clouds will look strange.

To test out adaptation, set your trainer to Sunny or Extra Sunny 2, the time to 7am, 9am, or 12pm, and don't lock the time - let it count up - now drive around in first-person view for maximum effect, the City works best here. Feedback most welcome.

  • very nice&realistic
