  • Shit that sounds cool, like a jet engine winging up!!! hope they get it into production.

  • i like it

  • We need IEEE or somebody to come out with standard replaceable batteries. Car runs out of juice go to a gas/electric station and have them throw in new batteries in 1-2min and keep going. Its that simple. Im think a forklift grabing them out from the car or some robot in a carwash type building ... pull in get new batteries pay for the charge and go.

  • yes indeed. and to help recharge when brakes applied.

  • I love it , it is soo clean and sexy, like a classy woman who is all that more sexy for lookin so classsy instead of lookin like she's trying too hard to be sexy. I would look into adding a shape conforming solar cell to the roof so it can charge while your visiting all the hot chicks you'll get with it . and of course maybe a tiny gas powered generator for them days you get over zealous and dont know when to stop driving and you find yourself stranded. bravo sexy car

  • Maybe they could invent horsepower-emitting speakers as you step on the accelerator?? hehe... The sound is very nice to hear, although it might just be that we're already so used to it...

  • Oh screw you what the fuck are you talking about this a great car and a nother big step in GERMAN engeneering and this is the future.

Man I am from Stuttgart and hell I love it and people will get used to it!!

  • Who drive ?

I don't know how to spell it.

    ^^ grezz bruni

  • the ev is the future

  • sadly yes :-(

  • Please go to see reason!

  • do you loose performance as the battrys get low?

  • yes, but as demand for batteries goes up, the demand will be met with better technology and the batteries will improve beyond capabilities of petrol

  • They should come with self ocsillating batteries. It could be controlled by circuits to put the entire circuit into resonance and get the best out of the initial charge.

  • Great work Ruf that is the future!

  • Bravo!

  • Pretty cool, but the big question is how much in Euro's ?

  • 250,000 euro's

  • No information yet on how much would it cost to buy one. This elecric Porsche RUF is still a concept.

  • Worldwide news release from RUF last week stated the production version would go on sale in late 2009 and sell in Europe for between 230,000 and 280,000 euros. Road & Track magazine have tested the RUF Concept model 'A' and their test report is due soon. CALMOTORS in California are partners in the project. The batteries come from England. They will be cheaper in the USA.

  • Ok, Mea Culpa !

  • is the electric engine less expensive they the gasoline powered engine?

  • An electric engine is less expensive than a gasoline powered engine but high-performance batteries (Li-ION or LMP) are still too expensive...

  • @jacek533 Electric motors are very simple and cheap, but electric cars are limited by the heavy weight of current technology batteries, cost of batteries, life of batteries, and charge time. Current mass production electric cars can take a day or more to reach full charge, with range comparable to a tank of gas in a similar vehicle. Also they must be cooled. Forcing enough current to power a sports car makes a lot of heat, and coolers add weight.
