As it is mentioned in authentic sources many spiritual realities which we do not understand in this material world due to our limited perception are mentioned as 'PARABLES' or 'misaal' in the religious literature. Hence their true meaning will be known in the afterlife only.

Actually some scholars have opinion of three categories of people:
1. Those who follow because they fear hell.
2. Those who follow because they want paradise.
3. Those who follow only because they love Allah. The lowest is the first while the third category of people are the highest and closest to the truth.But that does not mean that the other two won't get anything because they are not that developed.

We r humanbeing not angels. We have both spiritual and physical desires. Unlike christianity which never hesitant to talk of hellfire with sense of pride and reluctunt to mention pleasure of heaven,Islam talks of both heaven and hell. When we feel sad about hell, we are also told of happiness of heaven. And whats wrong if sex is mentioned by God? Is sex bad? @stylezofom Actually no one really knows what we are actually discussing here. We are talking about 'LIFE AFTER DEATH' and its pleasures and torments. As it is mentioned in authentic sources many spiritual realities which we do not understand in this material world due to our limited perception are mentioned as 'PARABLES' or 'misaal' in the religious literature. Hence their true meaning will be known in the afterlife only.

@stylezofom We follow the same principle in our normal lives too. When a parent gives the little child a chocolate or some reward for doing good in his studies it is nothing bad. Until the child matures enough,he cannot appreciate or understand the benefits which his studying hard would have in his 'afterlife' (in his social or professional life to come).
The end is served.The actual 'Reward' is recognised much later.

Actually some scholars have opinion of three categories of people:
1. Those who follow because they fear hell.
2. Those who follow because they want paradise.
3. Those who follow only because they love Allah. The lowest is the first while the third category of people are the highest and closest to the truth.But that does not mean that the other two won't get anything because they are not that developed.

But how can a Muslim love his wife if he believes that she is only going to be with him for maybe a third of his life on earth when after death he is going to spend eternity with 72 virgins? The most pious are described in Islam as 'Muqarrabun'. The word itself means 'those who are near to Allah'.

Even when it comes to materials, why dont ppl talk about palaces,rivers,servants,fruits,food,fine clothes,couches etc? Its ppl who made sex a big deal not God. God mentioned other things too. In heaven u can see God and enjoy the company of prophets and angels.

We r humanbeing not angels. We have both spiritual and physical desires. Unlike christianity which never hesitant to talk of hellfire with sense of pride and reluctunt to mention pleasure of heaven,Islam talks of both heaven and hell. When we feel sad about hell, we are also told of happiness of heaven. And whats wrong if sex is mentioned by God? Is sex bad? We are all created by sex and it bring husband and wife closer beside giving pleasure.
