I think you can divide them in Germanic; German, Dutch, Danish, etc. Latin: French, Spanish, Italian, Portuegese and English. I hate how people compare iraq to vietnam. I served in iraq and I am proud to have served there. My dad served in vietnam and is proud he served there too. But he had it way worse than I did. Iraq was bad no doubt about it, and may all my brothers and sisters who were killed may they rest in peace, but we lost over 50,000 us servicemen in Vietnam.

I Was in Vietnam for 4 years. I was a LRRP, 76th Rangers attached to 101 Airborne. I was and am proud that I served my country. George Bush did not have any thing to do with it. We didn't even know his name back then.

In the end I think it was intended against the Vietnam war, from what I know CCR aimed this song against the 'fortunate sons' who dodged the drafting because they had rich and influential fathers, so they just went to college instead of Vietnam.

My Grandpa served in Vietnam. He hated it. I was shocked to hear when i was 9 that a war hero, a man who risked his life to protect our freedom, was called horrible names, spit on, and just hated by many, just because he busted his tail, trying to protect our freedom. I Was in Vietnam for 4 years. I was a LRRP, 76th Rangers attached to 101 Airborne. I was and am proud that I served my country. George Bush did not have any thing to do with it. We didn't even know his name back then.

In the end I think it was intended against the Vietnam war, from what I know CCR aimed this song against the 'fortunate sons' who dodged the drafting because they had rich and influential fathers, so they just went to college instead of Vietnam.

from my second tour before I was old enough to buy a beer with my
sandwich. It all seemed so unfair to me. But I got by and many didn't.
I think it made me a better man. I now ponder a bit before I act.

My Grandpa served in Vietnam. He hated it. I was shocked to hear when i was 9 that a war hero, a man who risked his life to protect our freedom, was called horrible names, spit on, and just hated by many, just because he busted his tail, trying to protect our freedom. I think we owe all service men and women a huge thank you, and owe some apologies. Thank you to all that have served!

my friends grandfather was drafted into the war, he has many memories about it and even has some suvineres. he told me it sure is a hellofa war to be fighting and a hellofa county to be fighting for.

(10th Group Hq, HQ 8 years) they are using the freedom I helped protect and I thank them for making my time in the army worth something. And there was a lot of validity in this video, Wake up brother cause you are the type of Fortunate one he is taking about---in an odd way this was an anti protest protest song--he mocks those who wanted the war but would not fight it.
