Holy hell, the 28 is high enough. This is even higher, how can it carry past even a bush!? 2001 with double the voltage much? Anyway, still a Federal and that makes it good :D
At least you didn't get that thing up to full speed. When this siren is run full out it squeals like the high-pitched electronic sirens that are used on emergency vehicles nowadays. I prefer the standard pitch model 28 myself.
I agree with you, too high of a pitch to be really effective. The rotor has such low mass I was afraid of overspeeding the armature and damaging the windings.
cant i buy that exacly siren?

The screech these made are a really an attention getter...for the sake of the headphones I am wearing, i'm kind of glad you didn't wind her up.
If my memory prevails, some of the guys used these on POVs (vol.fire dept.)up in wyoming back in the 1980s.

Some of the Ford Excursions our fire department uses for faster response vehicles use an old timey siren tone in combination with a modern tone...

Again a very nice presentation!! I'm glad I'm not alone in my "hobby"!
Surprisingly not that effective as it peaks. A decent coast for a direct drive unit.
Thanks for sharing!
