@MrSixsa hey to each their own. personally gore has never added to the value of a horror game/movie to me. the psychological use of other elements has always been more effective imo. take resident evil 2, the cries of a dying city and other ambient sound really did a good job. as far as the originals being more gory....ive yet to see anything as nasty as the woman nailed to a wall bleeding from her crotch that was in re4. absolutely disgusting.
