Every subsequent generation is the same species as the previous. Every subsequent generation is the same species as the previous. Only when the changes have gone so far, as it's no longer capable of interbreeding with the progenitor and/or sibbling species, is it categorized as a new species. Evolution isn't a black or white categorization of animals.
