I just did this spot again with my 85 shadow priest for cloth farming. After an hour of farming with potion of treasure finding, I found 17x chests, my total loot were (including stuff from chests): 202g, 368 embersilk cloth, 6 greens, a bunch of volatiles (I had some in my inventory so not sure how much). Less loot then my earlier tries but not by much. From the looks of it this spot works just as good in patch 4.3.2

I did this spot as 83-85 with my affliction warlock. I never got near 8 mil exp per hour, only 6,5. That was rested and with ALL heirloom items, chain pulling etc.

Only downside to this spot is the occasional allies who drop by to kill you and corpse camp you for 15 mins, or so.

@sandreid87 I have done this spot for 81-85 on 3 of my characters and my lock is on it's way, kind of a long way since he's only 45 atm. =) I had problem with the occasional allies myself but not as much and they'd kill me once and leave.

Around 2 sec Death Knight: Go as frost and howling blast the tank Paladin: Holy wrath next to tank Druid: Cat swipe or typhoon should work Warlock: Never tried as lock and seed of corruption on tank should work Warrior: I figure ww next to tank? Just to answer the xp/hour questions from someone who lvled 3 toons here:

I usually get around 1.5 million - 2.5 million xp per hour and I'm usually not rested and loot everthing. If you are rested and don't loot you can easily double or triple the amount of xp/hour.

I heard about this spot from another video while back. Have been lvling my 80+ toons here since then it works great. I just finished a one hour run with my priest, using potion of treasure finding. After one hour I got (including stuff from 18 chests):

204g loot

414x embersilk cloth (I am 400 skill tailor which helps)

10x green items

10x pyrite ore

6x elementium ore

11x volatile water and 9x volatile air.

Great spot indeed.

Yes, the majority of the gold being made is in the sale of Embersilk Cloth. Your server's auction house prices should not have changed much because embersilk cloth is still valuable.

So ive been farming for about 1 hour and 15 mins and only got 2 million EXP. am i doing something wrong? Im doing this purely for EXP. and i am not looting anything. I kill the same 4 bunched tanks and by the time they're all dead they already spawn. Im an 83 rogue pulling 6k dps or so.Any advice would be nice.. thanks.

When I was calculating the XP/hr I went off my average time to kill 1 tank(from start to finish). I believe it was around 12 seconds. When you kill a tank with all your heirlooms and guild bonus you get about 9k-10k XP per engineer, so thats around 27k-30k a tank.

((60/12)x60)x27,000 = 8,100,000XP/Hr

So if you kill them in 14 seconds it calculates to 6,942,857xp/hr.

not sure where you are slowing down. Try checking you XP you gain and the time it takes you to kill 1 tank.

But i was killing them in about 10-15 seconds.but thats still way under what was claimed lol. Going to try try an addon that records eXP made per hour and ill get back to you, Also did you add in the time between traveling? and spawn time? because its not like your killing a tank and immediately on the next, lol

no way thats 2.5k gold per hour. i farm deepholm troggs and depending on the luck from cloth drops i make 3k+ per hour from trash, looted money and the cloth itself. it is also better to make them into bolts. also use the potion

The Cataclysm version requires a tailoring skill of 400, i.e. you won't find any bonus embersilk unless you have Northern Cloth Scavenging and at least a skill of 400. This is true. I get a ton more cloth on my tailor.

Having a potion only adds a chance for a Tiny Chest to drop. I cant post a link from wowhead here, but you can search wowhead for "Tiny Treasure Chest" if you want to know more. It costs around 100g (on my server), but after one hour of farming can bring you about 200g. So overall 100g profit.

@Boethiuss They do sometimes evade (I think its from other players passing by). I found that if you kill the tank, then come back to the same respawned tank, the engineers will not evade.

I decided to test it myself this morning. I farmed for 30mins exactly with a potion on. I looted, (199) Embersilk Cloth, (5) Greens, (6) Tiny Chests, 57g, and 26g in junk items. Total in gold value was about 1100g. I think you may be doing something wrong. Remember I am a tailor and enchanter. Also remember to loot all 3 engineers.

The majority of the gold being made is in the sale of Embersilk Cloth. So yes being a Tailor is a must for the extra cloth you gain from humanoids. Being an enchanter can bring you some extra gold by disenchanting the greens that drop and selling the materials. I think on most servers, you can get someone to disenchant them for you for a minor fee.

My Priest is 85 full Ruthless and Tailor/Ench and stayed exactly 2 hours and this was my progress. 106 empty bag slots using 2 Treasure Pots. I ended with 607g, 880 Embersilk (44 stack) 24 Hypnotics, 9 GCEs, 2 LCEs, 21 Pyrite, 11 VFire, 11 VEarth, 11 VLife, 15 VAir, 12 VWater, 12 Elem Ore, 1 blue tank helm, 1 Elementium Lock box which ended up being another blue. A grand total on my server of -150g for x2 Treasure pots and -50g already on toon a take home value of 5184g in exactly 2 hours.

@nutshell1981 FYI this was completed on 11/07/2001 on Kil'jaeden (PVP) BG9 server at its prime time and I had some interference with Alliance who tried to gank but to no avail. Slowed me down I estimated another 300-500g lost due to PVP. Anyone considering this I would suggest hands down unless your on Kil'jaeden. I found my new spot :) This is exactly what the OP said 2.5g in 1 hour. I did just that. I wish I had an 83 because I would farm this location to 85. TY for sharing this video!!!

Farmed here yesterday and today, totally earning about 4k gold total, and from 83-84 on my alt DK, Very nice farming spot :-) an extra tip is bring "Potion of Treasure Finding" and the gold farmed will extremly increase because of the chests :-) Thanks for the spot!

I got on my 83 rogue and tried this. With rested, my cloak, and guild (15% increased XP), im getting 9936 XP for each kill. Thats almost 30k XP each tank kill. I'm leveling pretty quick.
