  • Brainouty. Thanks. God bless.

  • Brainouty. some idiot commented on my channel that in the Greek, the word "believe" in Jon 6:47. meant continued belief, denoting that a moment of faith in Jesus is not enough. Can you send via email a Greek rundown of John 6:47?

  • @jacksmack77 Yeah, I'll send it to you off-Youtube email. Give me a few minutes. That way I can send you a screen shot of the lexicon and the Greek text.

  • @jacksmack77 Just sent it to you, check your non-Youtube email. Yell at me if the text or jpg is unclear.

  • Please don't dumb it down, it was great.

There is so much for people who are not getting it and they probably never will get it. Good to be fed.

Makes me want to learn Greek.

BTW, I agree with the truth of the Word in its original languages. Or why study it.

  • It's like looking directly at the Face of God, courag1. I had NO idea that other Christians didn't get to learn the original-language texts. My pastor just taught it to us, almost daily. Was 18 when I got under him, am nearly 56 now. And about 10 years ago I started interacting with Christians. What a surprise to learn they have to settle for translations. Once you see the original, you'll never want anything else. 1John1:9 makes it EASY to learn, along with the right software. Happy eating!

  • Hence the difference between intellectual Christianity which is driven only by what we read... and those who are truly walking in / seeking the deeper things of the Holy Spirit, whom reveals much more then just what we can understand via our "poor" human intellect.

But evidently such is the Will of God for some to find the real treasures and many to find only the "fools gold".

The same reason Jesus spoke in parables, to hide "secrets" from those who aren't supposed to know "yet".

    Peace :)

  • Thank you, ChristianNewsWatch: the amazing thing is, ANYONE can get those deeper things via use of 1Jn1:9 and study under one's own right pastor. God's Brains replace your own when filled with the Spirit.

  • Well said.... yes, God's revelation seems to come to those who are humble and filled with love.

As Jesus said, His yoke is light and His commands are not burdensome... Being a "Christian" isn't supposed to be difficult, I know me putting myself in the shoes of a toddler and looking at God as my dad has revealed so many simple truths to me that most Christians seem to overlook.

The church and us humans are screwed up... but God is wonderful! :)

  • wow this is very powerful.

  • AddictKorean, I don't use any IM services, but thank you for offering. You can pm me if you like, here in Youtube. Say whatever's on your mind. :)

  • Ok, sweet AddictKorean. Blessings to you, also!

  • Youtube tells me when I get a reply, so I jump! What verse are you asking about? If about the video, then.. yeah, the video is about proving what the verse really means, from the Greek. My pastor taught the whole congregation how to read the original-language texts, so I can read it for myself (well, with 1Jn1:9 used).

  • You liked it? It's probably on your Windows computer, AddictKorean. It's a wave file or a midi, I'm not sure which of my computers it's on: I have them all backed up here, so pulled it for the video. You know, gotta make sure I don't use copyrighted material.

  • On the contrary, sarabellumm, the way it was presented was in a scholarly way to show how to arrive at the proper conclusion. The difficulty this video presents is a signal for others to step up their learning.

  • Thank you both for commenting so quickly. It's true, sarabellumm, I had to do the video this way for the reasons Bingolly stated. If I'm going to lambast respected translations by panels of scholars, I'd better do it in their lingo. My pastor taught the entire congregation as if we were all IN seminary -- because if you use 1Jn1:9 and keep plugging, the Holy Spirit ENABLES you to grasp this stuff. It's not magic, but it is His Power. So it's arrogance, not to learn its technicalities.

  • As I said at the end of the video, I'll try to figure out how to "dumb it down" for crabby people who think it elitist to learn the Real Word God Really Commissioned the Real Writers of Scripture to write. Commissioned, and empowers, for You, me, anyone. Gotta learn to THINK AT GOD's LEVEL, and quit the rah-rah crowd. :)

  • Your video is impossible to follow. Next time simply show "here is how this is translated in XYZ translation" and "I think it shoud be translated as this" so we have some clue what you are talking about. Then gives us reasons a,b,c, etc why you think you are right and the other translation is wrong.
